Energizer "Energi to Go" Portable Charger XP1000 @ AustPost $9.95 (RRP 39.95)

270

Just bought two of these at Pennant Hills Post Shop, had them scanned and they turned up $9.95 each instead of $39.95. These are not the Chargers that use AA batteries like previous posts, and so far they work very well on my S3!

Also has 3 year warranty and have free connector tips for life.

More info here: http://www.energizerpowerpacks.com/us/products/xp1000/

Edit: looks like it's nationwide and it's on clearance!

  • Any ideas as to whether this is store specific only or storewide?

I work in this port office as a mail sorter and I was just scanning the item to see if there's any price changes on it. I was surprised when I saw the price too (I don't work at sales, so I don't see any "memos")

I think it's storewide since it's in the EPOS system. They didn't even change the pricing stickers!

Some reviews on Amazon raise build quality issues ( http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-XP1000-Universal-Rechargeabl… ) but $10 + 3 year warranty is worth the risk I think.

  • I think it must be clearance stock as I went to 2 x post offices and there was no stock

Cheap at $10, 1000mah battery will only provide less than half the charge of a galaxy s3 battery, but perhaps better than nothing.

  • Just purchased the only one they had at my local PO will come in handy TX op.

  • Boo I went to 4 In Melbourne and found none

  • thanks op.. got 2 from thomastown in melb =)none left now

  • Read the Amazon reviews - so many people say the USB connector is too weak and just snaps off.

Walked pass a PO this afternoon, walked in to try my luck… AND FOUND ONE !! But the scanned price is $9.99 ?

  • Tried today at my local post office they have heaps in stock.. Scanned through as $29.95

  • Got one at East Bentleigh Centre Road PO.
"Free tips for life" is a bit of a scam - they charge $9 for postage for a single tip which well and truely covers the cost of the item and real postage costs.

Thankfully most of the tips I wanted were included anyways (Iphone / mini and micro USB).
That said, a female USB tip would have been a logical inclusion in the package - unfortunately not included.
