Correct just change your dns to google or others
is the DNS on the router settings?
Dunno if you figured it out. In windows go to network connections settings page. Change settings of either your wifi or ethernet and select either internet protocol version 4 or 6. Should be obvious from there.
A service like real debrid might work. The torrent is downloaded to their server and you download from there. If it is a much shared file it may already be on their server. At $6.29 you can try it for a month. Also fantastic for Kodi.
This will become more common with ISPs blocking things like Torrents due to court orders and the federal government are talking about cracking down on security related issues.
Things like torrent sites are classed as a security risk due to Malware and viruses being distributed through them so the ISPs will continue to block access.
Personally I think the movie companies and the like could get into the 21st century and just relax their licenses a bit and make more content available for cheaper and then people wouldn't need to go hunting around for content.
Same goes for software its not the 1990s anymore content should be made more available globally.
Things are gradually getting better but we still have a little way to go.
CPK Web Services is Spintel?
No CPK Web Services is my business, Spintel is separate however as its a thread about a company Ozbargain brings up that are you associated thing down the bottom and so I chose my business from the list.
However the advice I have mentioned is general in nature when it comes to NBN as it isn't just Spintel that's affected.
Normally I only use the Rep tag in threads about the business or general NBN stuff I think I got distracted when I noticed the are you associated thing as some forums make it a rule that you need to disclose that stuff. Though this forum is a bit more relaxed.
Just on this as well, its not actually the ISPs throtling traffic, its actually NBN Co themselves doing it, they are starting to throttle high traffic users. Particularly on technologies such as Fixed Wireless and SkyMuster.
But they could be doing it on other technologies as well.
I fixed this to avoid confusion.
Might need to pay an extra $5 a month to get a public IP instead of being part of there CGNAT (Carrier Grade NAT).
You can check if you are in a CGNAT if your Modem / Routers WAN IP Address is 100.x.x.x. and different to the IP Address shown by https://whatismyipaddress.com/
Edit: But first thing to try is changing your DNS to 1.1.1.1 instead of using Spintels DNS.
