Funny enough Auckland - Sydney - Honolulu is only $597 AUD, the cheapest…
What about the over 2.7 million Australians who either lost their job, had their hours reduced or their pay reduced to fund CEOs compensation claims? Love it how you only look at 1 corportation.
@AircraftFreight: head over to the harvey norman thread, I can assure you people arn't giving harvey norman a free ride either
and I bet if you post something about australia post it would be similar……hell those goons are still blaming covid for their service even today
@AircraftFreight: This is literally a thread about Qantas.
@Loracks: Im relating it right back to Qantas. Didn't know that relevance to the most certain degree was established in OZBs rules.
Whataboutism
Whataboutism or whataboutery denotes in a pejorative sense a procedure in which a critical question or argument is not answered or discussed, but retorted with a critical counter-question which expresses a counter-accusation. Wikipedia
Logic: Logical fallacy
Tactic: Propaganda technique@brosk1s: Can't seem to find rules governing argument style in the Bargainpedia…
Thanks to the 15000 qantas staff who got laid off so qantas could post a massive profit (at the assistance of the Australian tax payer) but provide the worst service of any airline ive ever flown
@MrThing: How about when Virgin Australia went under and had to cut thousands of jobs across all sectors? And to this day claimed far more of a % of the aviation sector job keeper amount in comparison to Qantas. But people don't ask for the same horrible service on VA (Still have $3500 of cancelled airfares pending) to repay jobkeeper.
Also love how people attract to Qantas using jobkeeper to buy shares, QF liquidated foreign assets in the US (such as the line maint facility in Honolulu), Singapore and in other locations to actually use it to buy back.
@MrThing: Couldn't agree more!
Using points on the rewards store has one of the worst redemption values even with a discount. Save your points for flight redemption with business/first class ones giving you the best bang for your buck.
The only good use of your points are long haul International J/F redemptions and Oneworld Redemptions in J (318k) and F (455k)
Do you mind expanding on that? What’s j/f redemptions, those codes, etc?
J = business, F = first
The international universal codes for Business and First.
Economy = Y
Premium Economy = O/W/R
Business = C/J
First = A/FQantas uses these codes for Classic Reward Upgrades and Redemptions.
Economy = X
Premium Economy = Z
Business = U
First = P
Not a bargain. as already mentioned here
save for classic reward flights ONLY
Or an even better value, Oneworld Redemptions (318k J and 455k F)
0.6c per point, definitely not good.
Qantas states it is “All Apple” yet any new device such as M2 Mac Mini or the new Homepod aren’t discounted.. what’s the deal?
Example —
https://store.qantas.com/au/p/apple-homepod/2023311PThat doesn't surprise me! What you see is not important, what you don't see is.

Very poor redemption rate
Waiting for 20% off apple.
When did that last happen?
At least 1 year ago?
I recall the max was 30% off.
I think everyone has a different cost per point when deciding on if things are good value. For example I generally have a cost per point of 0.025 cents as I acquire from sign up bonuses. Yes the opportunity cost for international flights is a comparison, so you need to prioritise how you spend them. If you’ve got your holidays booked, then the reward store still saves you a lot of money then buying the products from say apple directly, eg half price.
That's still 90% over price anything from Qantas!
