Wi-Fi Calling from Overseas - Which Carriers Support It?

So far, I found the following on Telstra and Vodafone Websites:
1) Telstra supports Wi-Fi calling back to Australia from overseas with no additional charge.
2) Vodafone doesn't seem to support it.

Has anyone used Wi-Fi calling from overseas? Have there been any issues?

  • telstra did

  • Telstra allows WiFi calling. I have used it on several occasions when overseas and it works really well.

  • I don't know about overseas, but Telstra have wifi calling. I know because I would get calls with no sound and missed calls in my bedroom, I had to turn wifi calling off to get my phone working normally again.

  • I have used Boost (Telstra MVNO) overseas and wifi calling works well.

  • Telstra and Boost allow it. However, one can only call Australian numbers from overseas.

Just call people through Facebook ?

    • When we were in China and using a VPN at the hotel (using their WiFi) our daughters could call us using facebook. Very simple.

    • Can you call any AU mobile number through FB, e.g. CBA from overseas?

  • I have tested it with Boost mobile last month and it was working fine.
Since my boost mobile will expire by end of march, I am looking to switch to woolworth mobile but not sure whether it will have the oversea wifi sms & call feature.
Hope that someone will be able to share their experience in here.

  • Piggy backing off this question. Anyone know of wifi sms messaging? Just so I can keep all my two step authentications and banking sms going while I'm overseas.

  • Can someone please run through the steps needed to get wifi sms/calls working when I travel OS.
I've got a boost sim and a foreign data eSim on a galaxy s23+.
Do I disable roaming on the boost sim and make the default data sim the foreign esim?
