Polygon Zenith Active 3 Women's City / Cruiser Bike $679 (Was $999) + Delivery @ BikesOnline

70

This struck me as being not a bad deal for anyone looking for a butcher's bike. Shimano nexus 3 speed hub and a fairly decent leather saddle.

There appears to be a rudimentary defloplilator on the front, but don't chance anything valuable on it and please don't put one of your kids in the front cargo bay.

  • Tempted to get something like this and put a really powerful electric motor for an E bike to work.

I dont want to go that fast im just a big boi and need a powerful motor so I dont have to pedal too much up hills.

Just get a pre-built e-bike to be honest. Retrofits only add more weight, look bulkier and you need a lot of cable management.

      • Agree, and any issues that comes up neither the bike shop nor motor supplier will claim responsibility and blame the other. A commuter ebike like the Giant Lafree was on sale for around $1.7K with the half price sale previously posted here, which would have costed about the same as a retrofit.

In fact the sale is still available https://www.giantsydney.com.au/au/lafree-eplus

  • What's the little Springy thing for? To keep the wheel facing forward if there's a bunch of weight in the basket or something?

    • Could be to help with centering the forks. The further out on center the wheel is the harder it will pull back to the middle. This has been implemented on a couple of bikes in the past but recently Canyon have included a similar setup call K.I.S on some of their Mountain Bikes.
