Would you say this deal is knot to be missed?

      • +4

Can't seem to tie it down why this is such a good app. Or am i doing it wrong?

      • +3

        I cannot. I'm frayed knot

      • How do useless puns get more upvotes than an actual helpful comment (at the time of my comment)?

        • Well, it seems like the puns have really "knotted" their way to the top! But don't worry, with some perseverance and a bit of luck, your helpful comments will surely "untie" the situation and rise to the top eventually - ChatGPT

Take a chill pill and chillax. Don't get so worked up into a knot. Surely your helpful comments will unravel and rope the rest of ozbargainers in.

Don't get your knickers in a knot. Everything is going to be albright.

Besides, your comment was probably knot that helpful.

          • @itsphon: Now that you have lassoed fivespice with your witty remark. Time to untie them and set them free.

        • Don't worry, as the old saying goes, if you give 'em enough rope ………………………………..

          • @TheTinMan: i'm not too sure of the old saying. what happens if u don't give them enough rope? do you fall off a cliff?

            • @kamikaze_ozbargain: Make of this what you will.

What does it mean to give someone a rope?
give someone (enough) rope in American English

to allow someone freedom of action in the expectation that that person will overreach himself or herself.

        • What helpful comment could possibly exist?

Me too. I use this still quite a bit. They add new knots to it every now and then through updates. It’s a really good app!

Sheet bend and Bowline are my gotos though!

  • +2

Great app! Even worth buying it

  • +4

Got this last time it was free. One day I shall use it.

  • Original price $9? That's way too expensive for an app that requires close to no maintenance.

    • +5

Don’t tangle yourself in knots. Once you get hitched up with the app there’s no undoing the lashings of fun you’ll have. It’s not like you’ll have the bind of being tied down with ongoing fees.

      • +4

        It’s knot like*

You should be thanking the people paying $9 for it that are allowing the owner to put it up for free; especially considering how many times and how many people have picked it up from these deals.

  • I got this last time around and have used it for outdoor garden projects. Very helpful when tying down stuff in the back of a ute or such.

A couple of weeks late for valentines day, but still useful. Thanks OP

While I have many talents, tying knots is not one of them. I live by the rule "If you can't tie knots, tie lots".
Thanks OP, I'll give this a go.

    • I hope one of other talents bargain hunting or might end up a victim of a knot

    • It's just practice and repetition, i can tie probably 60 or so knots. The hard part was also learning how much each knot reduces the safe working load of the rope, and what types of rope a knot should and shouldn't be used on.

But there's only 8-10 primary knots that are essential and will do most things you encounter.

  • Got it last time. Use it for climbing just as a refresher every now and then. Really helpful if you need this sort of thing.

there is knot a single funny joke in these comments

Cheers! I'll be in the basement if you are looking for me.

  • Great app! It’s come in handy many times.

A wife told her husband that he could tie her up and do anything he wanted. So he tied her up then went and played golf.

i was excited to download, then realised i already have it.

  • +1

They should make this app permanently free. Lost count of how many times its been listed as free. I also got this free a few years ago.

If it wasn't for the users paying for it, it may not exist nor be as frequently available for free…

      • Exactly.

  • I downloaded, but need to pay to unlock the knots ?
