This eBay seller is selling an ACHIEVA 27" LCD monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440 (similar to the Dell 27" one) for $308 USD delivered. This is one of many Korean manufactured LCD monitors and it has been given a pretty good review on Anandtech:

One thing to point out is that there is not a dead pixel guarantee on this particular monitor and it may have up to 5 dead pixels. There are other monitors being sold by this seller that come with a no dead pixel guarantee.

    should be 2560x1440. Some of the digits must've gotten jumbled up in the interweb.
