Doesn't mean its not a bargain. List a real reason for a neg.

      a ust projector ***************

    • Why would you buy a projector and only use a 50" screen?

Oh you aren't using the same item? Oh okay.

  • +2

My cat will love it for catching some birds.

  • Wow how does the screen weigh 22.5kg?

    • Maybe it onoy lists the stand weight lol

  • Decent price if the screen is included

Nice, i couldnt see it originally when i was looking over the costco listing

  • I wonder how the projection port fares for dust - it is almost like a funnel for it there…
Could it be installed in the ceiling?

    • You can rotate the image.

Not seen a screen mount though.

That said the port is easily covered by anything, IE a piece of paper even when it isn't being used. Just a easily wiped with a micro fibre cloth ☺️

I have a Hisense PL1H picked up in a recent deal. During setup there is an option to configure the image if the projector is hung from the ceiling. There is also an option to adjust the image if the projector projects from behind the screen

$10 cheaper at Videopro, if you can collect from their stores in Brisbane (otherwise add shipping costs). No Costco membership required.

  • Still showing $5499
Guess deal wont start until tomorrow?

    • The page quickly flicks from $5499 - $1500 ($3999) to $5499. Odd.

Discount gets added in cart for me

  • Am I looking at this correctly?
The manual says only 35.2cm from the back of the projector unit to the wall, so with the unit being 34.6cm in depth that's almost 70cm in total away from the wall.

I feel like you'd need to have the entertainment unit sitting very far from the wall to place this correctly.

    • Yes that was my issue, any slimline cabinet will need to be approx 30cm from the wall which will look a bit odd.

I have this setup but it's a 100-inch screen. You will need a thick bench/tv table and at least 30 cms away from the wall. The picture clarity is awesome.
The main problem was getting the projector to fit into the screen. It's a lot of fiddling.
Another thing to remember is if you move the table or the projector, you will need to do the screen fitting again. I have marked the table hinges to the floor so that when I move the table I know where to move it back. I did the same with the projector

    • Good tips on marking the position of both the cabinet and projector.

Would you be able to share a photo side on by any chance? Want to guage if it would look abnormally far from the wall in my room with the cabinet I have.

      • Sorry, I am not home atm

    • How is the picture quality during day time? Wondering if it can be used as a replacement to TV in living. Thanks.

      • +1

Pretty decent but if the living area is very bright then I would rather get a tv. If the light is coming from the sides then the screen becomes dull and not great

  • The refresh rate is 100Hz. Is that sufficient not to blur The Fox, Josh Addo-Carr?

  • What the heck is a laser smart TV?
