Me. :)
Me too. I love spiders…
Is it a white tail?
Edit - I just saw you've already identified it below 😂
First looks to be an orb weaver, practically harmless.
Second one is a huntsman. Best to keep those alive or move them outside. They’ll kill all the other bugs and spiders in your house and leave you alone.
Unless it’s a funnel web, a redback, or a whitetail in your house, best to try and re-home back outside. They do far better than good for you.
looks like its been killed
They do far better good than bad for you*
Hahaha I thought as much, first one race in from the garage and run over my foot so I was a bit freaked out.
I was planning to catch and release it outside, however, I remembered the time I tried to catch a huntsman and it disappeared somewhere in my room.. they're just too fast for me
Orb Weaver.. is that the same as a Golden orb?
Orb Weaver.. is that the same as a Golden orb?
Golden Orb is in the Orb Weaver Family. There are heaps of varieties.
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SPIDER COVERED IN?!?
Either a load of bug spray or a load full stop.
Not sure what OP is into so I won’t judge.
Haha .. it got it didn't it 😜
bug spray?
Hiding this damn post.
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SPIDER COVERED IN?!?
If you have to ask, do you really want to know what it might be? :)
Having a wash? Covered in suds…
White tail… doesn’t matter what spider it is, just always say “White tail” and then regale us with a story of how your auntie knows this woman, whose son works with a guy who was bitten one and his hand rotted off.
I agree, despite unfortunaterly interacting in the house with many funnel webs, mouse spiders, trap doors, wolf spiders as a young one growing up in the bush on the Northern Beaches and three red backs in the last six months. I used to think White Tails/Tips were the worst, untill science completely debunked my unnatural fear of them.

Do white-tailed spiders cause necrotic ulcers?
There is little evidence that bites from the white-tailed spider result in severe or necrotic ulceration. In a study of 130 patients with confirmed white-tailed spider bites, no cases of necrotic ulcers were observed (Isbister & Gray, 2003).
I'm quite disappointed that OP felt the need to cover a lovely Huntsman in chemicals before consulting with the OZB brainstrust. If you and your housemates can tolerate their presence, they're actually the good guys!
I normally catch and release spiders and lizards .. kill roaches… However this dude was too fast for me and my wife wouldn't sleep in the house unless it was gone.. I was also threatened to be exiled to garage should I lose it 🤣
threatened to be exiled to garage should I lose it
You reenter the house as spiderman.
Catch and put outside. They eat pests, they are great.
I have a theory.
Indoor spiders are GOOD
Outdoor spiders are BAD
Nice try indoor spider
I believe they are both of the eight legged, very scary variety.
Congratulations, you killed a harmless Huntsman.
I used to kill every spider I came across, now I just capture and release them outside (except for daddy long legs which I’ll happily leave be).
Everyone should do the same.
Best to get a Tarantula spider and allow it to roam the house, those colorful ones, they will keep those other spiders away from you, lol.
What kind of psychopath would actually click any of those links.
