Purchasing DogNZB Using Crypto - Any Suggestion?

Hi all,

DogNZB is open for registration today; I'm interested in getting the yearly subscription.

Seems they are cheaper if I'm paying with either bitcoin/dodgecoin.

What's OZB-preferred crypto go-to platform for internet spending (not for investment)?
I have a revolut card, unfortunately, it does not allow crypto spending

Thanks

Ps: I already have drunken and geek, wanted to add extra collections and see which one better

  • I haven’t done it but pretty sure you can use the Crypto.com debit card. I use that card for my day to day expenses and you can top the card up with AUD or crypto.

  • For the few bucks extra they charge for their 'alternative' payment method, I don't think jumping through crypto payment hoops is worth it if you aren't already someone with crypto available avenues.

Why would you pay to access content like that? Find the right private tracker

    • Plenty of people pay for nzb indexing sites.
Also private torrent trackers are more hassle with needing to maintain ratios :)

      • This is one of the reasons why I'm moving away from torrent

Meh, power users with seed boxes more than cover the upload requirements. You just need to have your torrents "available to seed" for a few days or whatever. Power users do it just for the bragging rights or whatever I guess.

  • What is the price difference? Is it worth the hassle?

    • I'm planning not only to be used once but long term too (for other internet purchases that require crypto payments)

Fair enough then, I use binance, very easy to use. Add funds instantly with osko.

  • I think I remember going down this route 5 years ago, for dognzb as it happens, and for all the 'crypto is the future!' I found it very hard to get some at short notice. Even the crypto vending machines at Chadstone wanted to take a full copy of your license, which to me is insane.

Then, if you do manage to get it.. the transfer fee is crazy high. Like $5 a transaction. So I wouldn't be doing it to save money

From memory, there are no credit card to bitcoin money changers online, because credit card companies won't approve it. BUT there is a website out there with people offering to swap bitcoin for bank transfer, and melbourne had quite people on it. Can't remember what it's called though
