Totally worth it, both games have heaps of replayability and run awesome on the switch

  • Bought this on PC but my machine wasn't up to it.

How does it go on the Switch? So used to playing with a keyboard and mouse, can't imagine console controls.

Diablo 3 is great, feels like it was meant to run on consoles

Diablo 2 is abit jankier honestly but they made it work good enough

You wont have any issues with either

Seems like a good price for this collection!

Although using the inventory in D2R seems like a massive pain in the butt.

    • The DRM is also painful, Diablo 3 on Switch is excellent though

  • +1

Any way to upgrade if you already have D2R?

Unless you can't sit down playing the games on a PC/Console, the graphic on switch are really bad compared to the console version :(. This is true for most games, not only Diablo

I wish save game can be shared (seamlessly) between platforms.

Diablo is hardly a game you play for the incredible graphics. I’d argue the Switch is the ideal console to play Diablo 3 offline on, it’s great playing it on the go

    Got it, thanks OP!

I played a LOT of Diablo 3 on Switch! I only got it because some friends got it, and I thought it would be nice to have something to play online with them, even if it wasnt really my type of game…WRONG. I got majorly hooked on it, and ended up hardly playing with them, because I was too busy rolling with a better crew! LOL

I stopped playing though, because it was really taking too much of my life. Was pretty fun though - would recommend if you have a more understanding / non-existant wife! 🤣

  • For people want these for battle.net gaming, D2R requires a Nintendo membership subscription but D3 doesn't require.

What about other console? Deal going for Xbox too, how much is battle pass?

  • Can you play 2 player on the same console?

    • You can - you're just limited to the same screen, so cant go off adventuring separately, and can't split up tasks (eg. one player go complete one objective, the other player complete another, to save time). Fine if your characters have synergy to play close to each other, but can hamper you in higher GRs. (For story mode, probably completely fine.)

Also, from memory, there was a requirement that, if you are playing seasons, you had to both be in seasonal mode, and I think that did require both players to have an online account. Not 100% sure on that one (was a while ago i was playing, so someone playing more recently can confirm). If you were playing non-seasonal mode, then i dont think you need an online account, so all good.

      • +1

Both need a Nintendo online account to do a seasonal character

  • Anyone know why the Diablo II Metacritic rating is so low as 2.8?
    Still worth to buy?

    • The DRM is a bit buggy on Switch, online server issues, waiting in queues. It’s decent for offline single player, but that’s about it. Diablo 3 is good on it though

      • I heard you can play couch co-op offline also.

        • My recollection is:

Seasonal: offline works, but I believe you have to be online to log-in / start your session (and all accounts - up to 4 - have to have NSO), then as long as you don't close out of the game, you can play offline.
          Non-seasonal: offline works totally fine.

  • I got a few hours in but the stick drift on my Lite is making it not very fun

Just watched some game play of D3 on switch and it looks super boring…

Barely any music playing… Also do you basically just ignore the text/store and just slash and kill for the loot over and over?

I recall playing D2 many years ago and it was fun but D3 doesn't seem as good. Perhaps nostalgia.

    • For me, the fun was in perfecting your gear sets towards different meta builds, and pushing high GRs to see how high you could go. And playing with other high-level players, in meta or meta-ish parties, to synergise and push high team GRs.

I was playing exclusively in seasonal mode, where you start a new character each season (with various aspects of the game that changed each season), and see how high you can get!

I think it appeals to a certain type of min-maxing type person - and to those types, it gets you real good!

If you're in it for the story mode, well…I dont think I even got even a quarter of the way through the Story! lol.

  • I think they need a cash splash to smooth through the Xbox acquisition

PC version via battle.net is the same price looks like https://us.shop.battle.net/en-gb/product/diablo_ii_resurrect…

While I loved 2 and really enjoyed 3 on PC, this would have been a no brainer for me, but I'm so sick of Blizzard Activision's crap that I don't want to throw them any more money for the time being.

  • Bought. Thanks. Can't go wrong say this price.

  • Bought

  • Noob question. What is the difference between the different Diablos? Would it be the storyline and evil boss?

  • Thanks OP, great deal.

Recently bought eternal alone on sd through amazon for $52. Will try and sell that now and buy this pack, Much better deal
