Apparently it’s due to the price of wheat or some core ingredient spiking a lot more than inflation. But yep, still hurts and it really adds up.

Even the price of Maltodextrin/Dextrose(sugars) are twice the price.
Everything import-related costs more, so for them to manufacture, pack and distribute costs a lot more.

I am thinking about jumping back on the protein bandwagon but WPI is too expensive. As a true Ozbargainer I am considering pea protein as an alternative and it is relatively cheap compared to WPI. Has anyone had any experience with this? 20kg can be had for $200 and it is 80% protein
Then get WPC and only have half scoops. If pea protein is primarily made from peas then I don't think you've established yet that all proteins aren't the same.
General protein shakes are only meant to be had after a workout due to their fast absorption.
Add in some Dextrose Monohydrate to get those insulin levels back up and you're good to go.
Usually, these go $50 with the usual discounts for 1kg. So this is extra wtf pricing
