GetCheddar.com.au - Does Tracking Work for You?

I only joined Cheddar in January 2023, so I am a newbie.

But I am a long term cashrewards user and also a shopback user.

Of the 3, my best experiences have been with cashrewards but I would say shopback has improved over time.

I have made 5 transactions using Cheddar links from their web site on my desktop PC.

My Cheddar click history shows I went to the sites (Big W, EBAY, etc) but the 5 purchases were never tracked.

Based on a 0% success rate, I won't be using Cheddar often.

Their support tracked 2 of the transactions and credited the cashback and associated bonuses to my account. However I won't always remember to check if my cashback tracked so I don't trust Cheddar much at all.

It is also frustrating that when you contact Cheddar support about missing transactions they say wait 10 business days for the tracking to work. My experience with Shopback and Cashrewards is the tracking is generally pretty much instantaneous.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with the GetCheddar web site and/or app?

      What is getcheddarapp?

    I just literally joined cheddar for the sake of getting $25 joining bonus (min spend $25) in conjunction with applying and paying using Step Pay by CBA and get $70 cb (min spend $70). Needed a new crocs so it happens it has 5% cb via cheddar atm and last night purchased $70.xx worth and this morning got tracked the base 5% (~$3.50). I guess my experience is off to a good start, I used the Cheddar app btw.

      So you purchased last night (through app) and got tracking confirmed this morning - so less than 24 hours to track. Interesting.

      Thanks also for mentioning the $70 bonus with Step Pay. I never saw that. Have signed up. Much appreciated!

    I’ve had to chase down more than half of my cashback with Cheddar. They’re CS has been super helpful, though, bar one testy dude. Having said that, you’re right, having to remember to check that the cashback tracks and chasing it down is super annoying, so I don’t really use them anymore. They’re deals aren’t that great for the things I want, either, so losing a few cents outweighs the hassle.

    Also, they’ve had so many people comment on App Store reviews about their flaky system and still it’s a mess! So yeah, they might be friendly but don’t seem to really care about your initial experience.

    Had to connect the rep. Even though it was sorted out the reliability of it automatically tracking means I won't be back since there are plenty of other apps

    Same experience, spent a total of over 500 dollars via the cheddar app and no cashback tracked at all, they're supposed to be backed by CBA but whole thing smells funky to me.
