Looks like a good torch! Bloody decent battery in it. From experience, torches with a high output chew batteries pretty fast…. but that just might have that little extra longevity.
    Thanks for the post OP

    approx $50.14
15% off next day delivery on amazon for someone who dont want to wait, I will skip the deal as I have IFA22a

    • Saw that but that's the 6500k. Was looking at the Ali for the 5000-5500k. Just bought the sc31pro so wondering if this is much and much the same. 21600 vs 18650 though..

      • get a decent battery, such as IMR 21600 high drain. Works perfect!

        • I am currently waiting for wuben a1 on special. lol

  • I just bought Sofirn Sc31 for $39 on Amazon. Wonder what's the difference between these 2.

Well, I just found something online:

  • Anyone recommend a good charger?

Nitecore D2 or D4 is what you want, for all your tube cell charging needs.

This torch charges via USB though, so not essential.

      • You sure a d4 will take a 21700? I reckon they are too long.

        • I'm not sure of anything, though the specs say it does.

Aliexpress charges us GST but I will bet that it's just ripping us off as they are under no obligation to pass it onto our Govt Tax Office.

Thanks OP. Nice big battery torch for $40, can't go wrong. And I like the shipping wait with AliExpress, by the time stuff arrives I've forgotten I ordered it, so it's like a nice little surprise from the postie.

You're welcome. Always worth checking Aliexpress for comparative prices/deals on Sofirn lights. Note that the initial Ali price is usually minus delivery and GST.

Always deflating remembering that 10% will be added to the price at checkout (thanks government).

  • I really have to stop browsing torches online

So it's not just me who falls into that trap. Same thing happened with Bluetooth speakers after I was doing research to see if I could justify buying a Flip 6 for $88 on Black Friday. Research and deal hunting becomes habit forming.

Lol I bought 3 torches in the last week and a bit and bought the soundcore last night as well (was looking at the JBL…)
