  • seems cheap?

same as I paid for 32GB of "sweet spot" ram for Ryzen 5000 series

Probs don't wanna jump over to AM5 till next gen of motherboards but nice it is semi affordable now..

    • Personally, AM4 ITX price & availability is so dismal, I'm pushed onto AM5.
Not a bad thing. But I didn't see it coming.

  • Will Intel XMP work with AM5 mobo?

    • +1

not automatically but you can set the OC manually

      • Thanks.Gonna get Ram that works with AM5 without tweaking it.

        • +1

          you want 6000mhz cl30 anyway

          • @Lonewolf1983: I believe in a recent hardware unboxed video the 5600 sticks tweaked to the same performance as 6000 cl30 as long as they were micron.

            • @filmer: I like HWUB Youtube Channel and speed of ram is important (especially on AMD system, more so than Intel that sees little improvment over 5600 but AMD likes 6000-7000 and even higher!) but QUANITY in my OPINION is more important as CHEAP 4800ghz DDR5 is way cheaper and often you can have 64gb of slower 4800ghz (2x32gb) over FAST 2x16gb 6000+ DDR5. Since MBs are limited to 128gb for the home consumer market with 4 dimms and 64gb DDR5 is a little ways off and pricing on all types of memory is dropping and will continue to drop as thats the stage of the product cycle! Consumers (kids with parents money & criminals) that are buying the high speed stuff and I say 'go4it' but grownups that make a living from their PC know QUANITY is way way way better and want all thoes slots filled to the board max (and 2023 will be the year at last)

              • @srhardy: Actually, timings seems to be as, if not more important than speed.

After a certain point quantity does nothing.

    • From the amazon review of the 6000mhz kit, someone indicates they are able to run XMP on their gigabyte x670 motherboard.
