Hi All,
Is it possible to get custom T-shirts with images inked into the fabric instead of the typical print on style?
If so, any recommendations on who does this?

I googled it and no such technology exists. Better luck next time.
Redbubble does it, but on white T shirts only.
I imagine it's the same with any other T shirt printing service, but you should confirm it first. It's just a matter of setting a white point. You can't print directly into the fabric on a grey (or coloured) shirt because then you will have no white and the image will look the wrong colour.
And yes I have tried both white (direct in fabric print) and coloured T shirts (sticker layer printed on first) from redbubble and the image on the white T shirt definitely lasts longer. It will also "fade" slowly over the years, but much better than coloured T shirt with sticker print which starts peeling apart after a couple washes.
It's called sublimation and having an impact in sports uniforms.
I don't know about one offs
Try Starsubthreadheads. uses DTG (direct to garment printing)
tshirtsplus also does DTGI've used these guys before, they do DTG printing:
