Pretty good price for a well reviewed, compact subwoofer.
8 inch but apparently provides plenty of punch.
Got one to replace my old bulky sub.

Too bulky it seems
Moved to a new place and dont have the same space for the old sub anymore :(
I think this one is going to make you sad by comparison. Unless you are putting it under your seat on the couch.
The bulkiness is the essence of a sub, and the bulkier it is the better it works as a sub.
The retailer itself… I can not recommend addicted at all.
Really? Why? A2A have been great everytime I've bought from them
Have you ever had any problems with equipment? If it is a simple transaction and all you need is just to pay money to them and get them to deliver the goods I can not see how it can go wrong. But I had multiple warranty claims with them and they fought with me to death, did not want to do anything and were very rude.
I will give one example: a manufacturer forwarded a replacement part to me using addicted's logisitc network. The manufacturer just asked addicted to forward the part to me. Addicted stated - we will not forward you the part until you remove negative feedback that you left us from our previous transactions. I said - you can keep the part, I will get it elsewhere, so just got it directly from the manufacturer instead. They are very spiteful little people.
Found they were going to give me 3 years on speakers. West coast hifi gave 5
The cable for my Clears stopped working. They sent me a new one the same day, based solely on my word.
@jjcf: They get replacement cables for free so it is generousity on Focals behalf.
i haven't previously, but interestingly enough my Topping A90 discrete just started making some crackling and popping sounds, so I took it in today. They agreed it was faulty and have said they'll do a straight swap once they have another unit it (ETA next week). however they did say some brands require the allegedly faulty units to be sent back to them and tested, which I can imagine would be a pretty unpleasant experience for the customer.
Seems pricy for 8" and 150w.
Saw some pictures and reminded me of the subs old logitech 5.1 speakers came with.
As mentioned above, the cabinet size/volume is critical to sub output. Unless you need to squeeze this to into a tree house, you'd get more for your money with a 'bulkier' sub
I would argue that it is pricey. Maybe, compared to some really budget consumer models, but compared to pro grade monitors it is on the budget side.
By the way, this is what I would choose for the same price https://www.storedj.com.au/presonus-temblor-t8-8-active-stud…
Is this subwoofer compatible only with other Q acoustics speakers, or can it be used with other equipment.
Specifically, can this be used with a Bose Soundbar 500?
Im not a pro but sub need a AMP. Boss sound bar probably comes with a integrated pre build amp/sub.
Just looked and the Bose Soundbar uses a 3.5mm jack designed to work with their Boss Bass Module where Home Theatre subs connect over RCA or XLR. Not sure if this means it won't work, but it certianly isn't designed to be plug and play. https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/products/speakers/speaker_acce…
Thanks Ceriaz and Boomramada!
Guess I'll just have to wait for a good clearance price on the Bose subwoofer.
I have this sub. And use it with edifier active speakers. Works great.
What was wrong with your old sub?
