Anyone Have Trouble with Checkout for Jordan 1's High 85 Black & White on Official Nike Store?

Wondering if anyone had trouble with checkout for Jordan 1's High 85 Black & White on Official Nike website Wednesday night? I was there @ 10PM on the dot and selected my size and went to checkout but then it went to a different checkout than the normal (I guess they did this to stop bots?) Was the different checkout the case for everyone?

Anyway, it took me awhile to enter my credit card and by the time I did and pressed submit it returned with an error page "Opps something went wrong" and it didn't process my order. I got the same result on two different browsers and a mobile device (after confirming my phone number with Nike) and got the same error page and no shoes :(

Just want to check if anyone else had trouble with the Jordan 1's High 85 Black & White release? Before anyone asks no I wasn't using a bot or automation tool and I didn't even use a vpn to order. Maybe I'm shadow banned for some reason?

NIke's has a weird system to combat bots that keep on changing each release. Problem is bots still get around these based on the sales and how difficult copping a pair of shoes are (esp. Jordan 1s). I've done the same thing on a number of occassions and had the same result. I stoppped trying to cop these drops from Nike and go Raffle only - too much effort just to get an L

    • How do you enter raffles for official Nike releases? I couldn't find any info on the website or the Nike app! I went into the city Nike store and rang up Nike stores asking if they would have any Jordan 1's Black and White in stock and they said raffles only. But how do I find the raffles? I know CultureKings but that's it where are the others?

lot of shoe stores (like uptherestore, laced, supplystore) have raffles

        • Yeah, I know of them, no Black & White Jordan 1's raffle yet but they all suffer the same problems. New releases sold out instantly. I guess both demand and then the bots take over. Kind of sad that buying a pair of shoes has become almost impossible and a hassle.

@GardenGnome: Yeah see the above stores. Of the big ones Foot Locker and JD sports have them BUT if you're new to sneakers Jordan 1s are very hard to get (esp in OG colourways - Lost and Found was a massive release but were a hard one to get, I copped maybe 10 Ls?).

Not to discourage you but just prepare yourself for disappointment, particularly if you're after 1, 3, 4, 6 and 11s.

Except these 1's, no one f..king wanted these:

            • @Gunnar: I've found Footlocker is the best of the rest, sometimes they good styles in but they go quick. JDsports are not very good and don't get any decent colours in just leftovers it seems.

You know it's bad when a Nike store employee offers to put you in touch with resellers to buy shoes :(

@GardenGnome: LOL I wonder if said employee back doors shoes to the reseller?

                • @Gunnar: 99% would be the answer. Wouldn't you if you were making $22 an hour selling $300 pair of shoes that go for double resale? Backdooring happens all the time, almost impossible to stop. You see people on Gumtree/eBay, and you know they work for a retail chain or have inside contacts.

I get why it's hard to stop bots, because they use hacked residential proxies for their bots to buy shoes. But I don't understand why they can't ban bots and resellers from buying multiple pairs (limit like Culture Kings) and why they don't ban buyers on using the same credit card or PayPal account at checkout (bots have automated checkout) is a mystery.

Back when the Jordan 13 University Blues dropped right before Xmas, I had them in my card, entered the credit card details. Everything looked like the transaction was complete as when I hit submit it was thinking for a bit then sent me back to the Nike page.
I got no email and there was no charge on my credit card and nothing in my order history.

I've also had issues before checking out even when it wasn't a highly sought after drop and was just shoes easily available.

I'm convinced their website is the worst thing to deal with. It never works properly.

  • https://imgur.com/a/tKEwaTj =>This is why the system is broken. How do you get 18 pairs in the first place is a huge disgrace,

Footlocker Australia site under heavy load from bots due to new Jordan's released. And they actually try to fight bots.

Why don't sites just implement a captcha when browsing and checkout? That would stop all the automated bots and scripts.

Are you new to buying hype sneakers? This is just standard for high demand sneakers on the Nike platform. You get 10min to enter and there are so many people and bots entering it keeps getting errors registering your details.

The usual website are running raffles atm (Subtype, Supply, Upthere etc).

    • I know you have to be quick, thing that confused me was the Nike checkout was totally different to the normal one. Took me a minute or two to figure it out, but I was still sub 2/3 minutes in checking out so it was disappointing that I didn't get them. Tried different browser and mobile and same result very quickly and got "Opps, something went wrong". I checked Reddit and other people had same problem with checkout, so it wasn't just myself.

I've entered the raffles, no luck so far! Doubt I will get lucky because I've noticed there are even raffle bots for sale lol. Bots for raffles. Really?

You need to be faster than 2-3min, you need to have your details all saved in Chrome for quick check out, under 1min. On Nike usually they open the raffle window for 10mins you enter your details then they let you know if you won. the thing is usually there are so many people trying to buy at the same time that you keep getting errors. Nike site sucks.

Yeah there are Raffle bots. This is just the way its been for sneakers for the last 5 years or so. Welcome to sneaker collecting.

          Welcome indeed.

Yeah, next I'll save my card data and try! Thanks for the tip. I know that was my mistake last time taking too long, different checkout threw me off, expected the regular checkout but I guess they changed it to stop bots and automated tools. It's crap because i actually got them in my cart which surprised me.

Tried Subtypestore @ 12PM for the launch, same crap. Sold out the second they launch, and site still being hammered by traffic and doesn't work properly lol. It's ridiculous! Why not just limit sales to 1 pair and cancel orders from people who buy multiple pairs with the same credit card or multiple pairs with same PayPal address or cancel orders for multiple pairs that have the same delivery address.
