It’s just too bad the style clashes with my razor kitty headphones

    • +4

Ah that the hell it’s a $1, let’s get one anyway

    • +11

Spray paint it pink and finish with some iridescent pearl accents. Hmm could put some tiny puppy socks on to make it less cheap-looking.

      • +3

        paint it pink

        Spray it black and pink

        BLACK PINK IN YOUR ARE-A

  • +7

I would not call this stylish. Maybe OK in the kitchen.

    • +10

Yeah it's basically a mug tree

      • +6

That's exactly what it is! lol

I can't believe they are trying to sell this as anything other than that.
But, companies love the jumping on the gamer gear bandwagon.

I see that site checks stock on a few different retailers. Do you know of a site that checks Kmart?

    • +2

This was hard to find in store and staff were pretty hopeless in finding it. That are in a small flat pack near other audio gear.

  • +21

Surely this is just a bamboo cup holder that they have crossed off "cup holder" and written "headset stand" on instead?

    • +19

Oh definitely not. Those in the know would recognise headset stands have a square base where as cup holders have a circle base.

  • +18

Looks like what I made in year 7 woodworking.

    • +5

      But was it Bamboo??

      • +3

No but my parents used it as a cup holder in the kitchen for years.

        • +3

and that's when you know you have good parents

mine just threw all my arts and crafts/woodworking stuff away haha

          • +2

@nGu: I guess that's what smart parents do.
            smart vs emotional ;)

I bought one of these for $2 in the past few weeks and its been great. I wanted something for my headphones + headsets and it perfect. I'd recommend it.

    • +3

Call up and see if where you bought it from will price match and refund the $1.

    • +5

Bet you're regretting such a rash impulse purchase and not waiting for it to go to 50% off.

  • Awesome

  • +18

It looks something Bruce Lee would use to practice Wing Chun.

    • +2

      wax on wax off

      • +2

That's Karate Kid. Same, same but different.

        • Yea, sometimes we look alike :p

    • It just needs a small square panel with a bit of vinyl stretched over it, because that extra half mm of of vinyl makes all the difference

  • +9

How many headset does one need on their desk?

    • F

    • +3

Zero. That what the stand is for. But to answer your question, I have up to 3 sets on mine at time

      • What do you do with 3 sets?

        • +6

          Maybe he looks like Cerberus?

        • +2

one for calls-(work), one for gaming, one for music.

        • One for me and one each for the kids, plus several ear buds draped over it. Was a great way to consolidate all the audio gear in one place.

    • +1

Weirdly, I have 4 sets of headphones on my desk. (Note: not headsets)
1 Wireless gaming headset that I actually use
1 Wired open back music oriented headphones that I don't use
2 wireless earbuds, one open back one closed back, for different applications.

And I have another Sony headset that has noise cancelling but it's in my bedroom.

I could kind of see the use. Gaming headset, music listening headset, video production headset.

  • +5

great price, but just adds to my desk clutter so i will pass.

  • +3

Thought it was a cat scratcher.

  • +2

    Isn't this for mugs? Repurposed?

  • +12

WHAT IS THIS? A COAT RACK FOR BABIES?

  • Ohhh…This is for hats ??? I was about to order to practice my Martial Arts…Kungfu Panda Style

  • Looks like something from Lovehoney

    • Was this originally something for making or storing honey?

  • +1

Has anyone used this for both headsets AND mugs? Wondering if it would be suitable.

    • used this for both headsets AND mugs?

      Also good for hats.

      • +1

        And socks!

  • Thanks OP got one.

  • +1

    • +5

  • +1

  • +1

Wow. It's OOS in our great state of SA! That's dollar saved. Thanks OP ;)

  • That is most definitely a cup stand.

  • Banana tree and jewellery holder…
    Any other ideas?

  • +1

    Christmas tree?

  • +2

    Out of stock almost everywhere

  • It’s not strong enough from base, screw come out easily

  • Good for toilet paper?

    • +1

Yes, it is good enough for headphone, cups, toilet paper once you use longer wooden screw to make it secure. (Screw included is not long enough and base fall out with very little force).

      • Perfect for my toilet/kitchen/study!

  • I'm not sure how many headphones you're going to fit on it at just 310mm high with that arrangement of pegs considering the size of most headsets and larger/full-size headphones. Still, for just $1…

  • +3

Am I the only one who wants to kung fu it?

    • IP Man lol

    • Maybe for a mini groot

  • $0.01 - nail/ hook in wall = headphone stand hanger

    • Real users keep them around neck at ALL times.

  • I used a bit of PVA glue on the base to make it more secure as the screw is a bit short.

  • Not even worth a dollar! Base screw short!

  • It looks like something I should price my fungfu on
