Boost 200 Starter - Data Expiring in 6 Months

Hey folks,

My wife’s Boost plan expires this August. When she moved to Boost last year on the 200 starter SIM, she’d received 140 GB of data of which only 4 GB is left, which we realised only today when she got a text notifying her of that.

Since the starter plan expiry is still 6 months to go, what is the best option? Should she recharge on the Boost data plan (which BTW is super expensive like 130 GB for $200 and a 1 year expiry which I’m assuming is the expiry for just the data right)? Or port to another provider?

Currently trying to find other providers with good data plans/ offers. Would be great if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks a ton.

Port out to a $1 Optus plan for a day and then port back into a Boost 260GB one-year plan for $255 from Oz tech biz

    Dual SIM possible?
Could just buy a cheap data SIM and keep the Boost for calls.

Also investigate what has chewed the data.

If you want the coverage then you need Boost, just go to the 260GB plan. If you travel around domestically at all outside the cities and want patchy coverage theres bunches of other resellers with cheaper offers . Catch Mobile, woolies, coles etc.

FYI If the data was used up faster than you expected then the text might be about her 'activation data' being used up.

I got a text in December notifying me of something similar, but in actuality I still had 100GB of my 'standard' data remaining, and it was only my activation data which had run out.
