    • hey kerfuffle, are you going to keep your DJ's Amex once the partnership ends?

      • +1

Only if it's free as per my current DJs Amex and has the same benefits like free shipping and free gift wrapping. I ain't paying $99/year for it when I have other Amexes

        • Agreed!

  • on Explorer card, both primary and supplementary cards. Thanks

Does Harvey Norman sell third party gift cards in store or online other than the following I found online?

    • Twitch
    • Xbox Live
    • Xbox Game Pass
    • PlayStation
    • Will it work if you use it on Xbox Gift Cards?

    • Same question here.
From memory they seem to sell apple gift cards as well.

  • +1

Anyone know if I can buy the HN gift card online and get the credit ?

    • +2

      Yes you can.

    • +1

Only if your order doesn't get cancelled.

      • what happens if you buy something, get credits and return it? Do you get to keep the credits?

        • +2

Good luck getting a refund at Harvey Norman.

    • +1

It seems they do not sell $300 gift card, you need to buy $100×1 and $200×1 or otherwise $350×1

  • +1

    Does Harvey Norman price match?

    • +1

      Yes they do

    • +4

Good luck, tried to price match Bose Quiet Comfort 45 with Amazon who has them for $373, HN have it for $495.

They would not touch it claiming it was lower than their RRP.

Their price match terms are so ambiguous, they can hide behind it very easily.

      • Same experience. I asked them to price match Mobileciti once and they said they only match "omni channel retailers with multiple physical stores"

        • agree - they are so hard to deal with to get price match.
Best to use on furniture if you get a good deal (As per terms, allowed to use at HN, Domayne and Joyce Mayne)

      • Same as Officeworks. The website says one thing, but their staff says another thing. Call centre gives conflicting information compared to the website and hangs up on you when you tell them what the website says.

      • Only if it’s not below their “cost price”

        • +1

Contacted JB to price match, and the live chat agent approved it in 10 seconds.

  • +1

    Not on my DJ :)

  • It's on my Discovery card but not on my dad's.

  • Got it, all 5 cards

    • +1

How the hard part - finding an actual deal at HN.

      • +1

buy e gift card , wait for good deal from competitors, ask HN to price match

  • Not on the Essentials card.

  • Got one for explorer, not sure if I have place to use it. Any idea?

  • Got it on both essential & platinum cards.
    16.7% off!

Clever of them, get Ozbargainers to support the one man who’s done more to take away our bargains than anyone else in history.

    • Is there any article or post that can shed more info on this topic ?

  • Deal only if what you buy won’t ever need to be returned.

  • I want to get apple gift cards in store.

    • Do they sell apple gift cards?

      • In store they do :)

        • Are you sure ?

Couldn’t find any and lady behind the counter said they don’t.

          • +1

@drsmithy: I charred to them online and they said they do. I’m going at the weekend and will report back.

            • +1

@fozzie: Just FYI I've run the three HNs near me in Brisbane (Oxley, Fortitude Valley and Mt Gravatt) and all say they do not sell Apple GCs.

So if you find one that does, well done. :)

              • @drsmithy: Thanks, I will let you know.

                • @fozzie: Just called Harvey Caringbah Sydney and they don’t sell apple gift card . Bummer

  • I got the deal on my card. just a shame I bought bought stuff from HN last week and probably have nothing else Ill purchase before end March from HN

    • You could get Harvey Norman gift cards though

  • What third party gift cards to they sell in store?

    • It's likely to vary from store to store but Canberra had at least Luxury Escapes, Netflix, Red Balloon, a lot of xbox and similar. I'm think there were others - perhaps AirBnB?

  • +2

Bought e-gift card but no confirmation yet from Amex that I have redeemed the offer. Generally they send instantly. I have received the gift cards also.

    • Did you recceive credits from America Express?

  • +1

Seems like only HN gift cards available then? Have offers on 5 cards.. no use for it! If only VPay was still around!

  • How long does it take to get the e gift cards , they said my purchase is being reviewed by online team

  • anyone knows if there is a physical gift card available in store which can be used at any of these stores - Harvey Norman, Domayne and Joyce Mayne ?

  • Tried to place order online yesterday and received an email advising order was canceled. Tried again just now and same thing happened. Does anyone has the same experiences? It seems that Harvey Norman is rejecting orders while Amex offer is on. Happy to be proved wrong.

    • +2

that's business as usual with Harvey Norman.

      • Not suprised. Just don't understand the reason behind it.

    • +1

Gerry does the ripping off in his stores, not the customer. That's why it got rejected.

  • Bought a $300 gift card in store & when I got home the offer disappeared in my account but no email for cashback.
Also no listing in the "savings" to date tab either.
I guess they are onto this now.

    • +2

The offer expired at the end of March. If you made your purchase before then the credit will come. The offer usually disappears after purchase then the credit comes.

      • Yep, purchased before the end of March & nothing has come through.
