  • Bummer, bought mine from JB a few weeks ago for $1250 but i guess they were the only one with stock at the time.

With $19 postage, this camera comes to $1203. With an expected 3-8 week delay on delivery due to demand on the stock.
Tomorrow night between 6-9pm JB is having 15% off all DSLR cameras. $1205.30 and the ability to have it in my hands immediately.
For an extra $2.30 to have it in my hands by this time tomorrow night, I'll be purchasing this camera from JB I think.

Edit: Just saw the poster above me got it for $1250 from JB. Potential for it to be significantly cheaper than the deal on offer with the 15% off tomorrow evening, I based my price off the RRP JB had on their website.

    • The only question now is to find a JB store with OM-D in stock. Luckily I got mine from Myers sale in June for $1124 :D

      • My three local JBs have stock, already covered that base ;)
But that $1124 is an amazing price!!

    • Are you counting on JB not knowing that the OM-D is not a DSLR?

      • +1

JB have 15% off all cameras, including DSLR and non DLSR cameras. Check out their homepage.

        • Went to JB at Chadstone, the result is that OM-D is a hybrid, thus neither a DSLR nor a Camera(if I read JB's poster correctly). The guy there was nice enough to also check E-P3 for me, 15% doesn't apply for it either.

        • …Are you serious…

A hybrid of what? A DSLR is a type of camera.

        • Brighton store tried to pull that on me also. However there was another sign which said 15% of all digital cameras. After consulting someone she agreed to do it. Had no idea, thought it only came on black. Luckily they had one silver one left, got it for $1202.

What's the bet that the ticket price shows $1499. Also do they have both colors in stock or just the black?

    • Were you able to get it at the price you were hoping to buy it at?

  • Good price but 3-8 weeks is a killer. I'd be prepared to order if it was definitely going to be 3 weeks.

  • I tried to buy from JB with the 12-50 lens for $1418 less 15%.
Manager says it was not a digital still camera like the compacts and dslrs as it was a mirrorless camera??
I said that was stupid but thanks for saving me a mountain of money as it was over priced being a new release.
I tried the camera though and it was very different to my Lumix G2 which takes excellent raw photos but annoys me with its toy like shutter and grainy viewfinder. The Olympus was much more sophisticated with a very bright viewfinder. Was of a similar build quality to the old OM10 Super I have on the bookshelves as an ornament.
