Agoda Bookings through Google Search

For a while now I have found that searching particular accommodation through google and clicking through on the embedded tool to book accommodation through agoda can sometimes give a crazy discount.

ie. google lists 10 provides like booking.com etc. and agoda is significantly cheaper.

If you go straight to agoda (without going to google), the price is higher. But clicking through to agoda from google must give you a special cookie that lowers the price.

Is this a marketing effort from agoda that could end at any time? Booking.com and agoda are owned by the same company, yet I find agoda can be significantly lower for some hotels.

    Some those sites advertise in USD which makes it seem cheaper…

    I have also found something similar when looking at hotels to book recently.

    Agoda app has different pricing and offers to Google search. It also differs between users or being logged in or not.

    Also some claims such as 'lowest price in 3 months' etc. That seem to not align with as stated above.

    Yes! This is happening with me as well. Prices are cheaper via "Google to agoda" vs "straight to agoda".

    Very strange, but a discount is a discount.
