Hello all, I have googled this question I'm seeing a mix of 353 days and 297 days if you're a bronze tier.
I'm trying to look at flights from Jan 4th, 2024 (325 days out) to Japan but see nothing at the moment, even Jetstar..

297 days for Bronze and Silver. 353 days for Gold, Platinum, Platinum One and Chairmans Lounge.
Qantas doesn't usually release award seats on its international flights around the Christmas New Year period.
I can see seats available from late January onwards.
They do though. Although Platinum/Platinum One/Chairmans Lounge can always call the QFF hotline and request Classic Reward seats, I've done this before for 3 J tickets to London this year. Came back.
Probably why Bronze-Gold members can have a hard time obtaining seats. They are already taken way in advance.
This is what I needed, thanks!
A lot of those numbers (particularly with QF) have gone out the window post-Covid. Most airlines are being more selective in releasing award seats, particularly on popular routes.
For example, last week QF released a dump of reward seats for SYD-LAX for July and August this year.
No harm in looking at those dates, but it may be that they haven't be added at all as yet.
Correct.
QFF already being famous for few reward seats pre-pandemic have levelled up their game since and seats are impossible to get now.
Ordinary people will find it hard to redeem, and you need to be creative and very flexible date-wise if you even find any. Hopefully things get back to some normalcy. I've even stopped doing the credit card points churn because I don't know how I'll ever use all these points.
Yup, I checked a date for a flight 297 days from now (7th december) then when the clock hit midnight (8th December), the selection was more or less the same.
@MasterMirage: Unless it's changed, it is 10am BNE time.
So far I've redeemed twelve 132,400pt economy oneworld Classic Flight Rewards (pre-pandemic). I used to start the search 353 days before my intended return flight and found award seats would get loaded progressively and I could only find a full itinerary in March/April - for flights home in January the following year. Some sectors would become available as late as October for which I would incur the change fee to get a better routing.
Simply the best value. I have done 3 318k and 1 455k oneworld Redemptions and there is simply no competition, such a good value of points.
I bought rewards flights in September last year, for a Japan trip next week.
