Broken Sun Visor - Will Used Car Dealer Fix It under Warranty?

Hi, I've just bought a used car from a car dealership in Qld and noticed the drivers sun visor is broken.

The visor can't be pushed up towards roof to sit in its normal resting position and won't stay in its position if I push it forward when I need to block the sun. I've had to lower the driver's seat so I'm able to see clearly under the visor when I'm driving.

My question is should the car yard fix it for free while it's under the 1 month statutory warranty.

Thanks

Hmm in WA that's not covered under stat warranty, only the mechanical essentials

    Seems you get off easily:

Your statutory warranty will cover most defects. Your vehicle has a defect if a part:

    • does not do what it is supposed to do
    • has worn out so much that it no longer works.
  • Is there a reason you haven't asked the selling dealership?

    • Don't they close at noon in summer there?¿

      • Ugh, I wish.

I've had to lower the drivers seat so I'm able to see clearly

    Driving Miss Daisy style

  • Just get some velcro and affix to the appropriate places.

Did you not notice this during the test drive?
