What are peoples opinions on the Aldi special buy security cameras coming up ?

Try buy 2nd hand / broken CCTV camera rather than getting brand dummy. Cheaper and less landfill

Cameras is one area where I might stick to brand names (and in personal opinion these sorta things are often over priced IMO)

$350 for the system and another $1500 to install it.

If you are going to spend that much, just buy a wireless system like Arlo, Eufy or Reolink and install it yourself.

I got the 8 camera system 2 years ago and installed it myself. Fixed the cameras to the fascia boards and ran the cables through the ceiling to a central point in the house. Still going strong.

  That’s good to know someone rates them. Aldi stuff is either good or bad … nothing in between.
  
  Don’t like the idea about cables in this day and age though.
  
  How long does it record for ? I know it’s a continuous loop but how many hours of footage @ 1080p for the 1tb to fill up ?
