They had a brief re-release period but only limited numbers, same for Fire Emblem ones. You've probably missed the boat I'd say.

I did the same thing, bought NFC tags and printed custom Amiibo coins.
How do they look on a shelf?
I have a shelf of real Amiibo, and a small box of rare ones written to NFC tags that the kids wanted I didn't want to pay a fortune for. I stuck stickers to them. They just look like bootlegs of the animal crossing cards lol, except for other franchises.
IE. Unless they want to pony up the cash for them, they can deal with how my homemade DadMiibos look on the shelf lol

I've only ever bought one Amiibo (Smash Banjo & Kazooie) and it was only because I'm a fan of thier games and wanted a figure of them.

I have over 200 of them and they're all out of the boxes, I have them lining my games shelves. Quite a lot I bought used so they were cheap and already removed from the boxes.
I get keeping them in the box to keep their value but they take up way too much space and I really like seeing them, plus I'm never gonna sell them anyway and can't afford to buy 2 of each so it doesn't matter to me.

Most of ours are out, I have 2x Castlevania, Sephiroth and the Shovel knight 3 pack + Gold Shovel knight still sealed, just because I bought them because I liked the franchises and they don't really have a use in game? We have plenty of smash Amiibo to train, and I haven't re-played Shovel Knight yet. I do have the original shovel knight out.
I sold them all a while back, around the release of Loftwing… Was over the collecting.Tidy profits at the time.
Now I just feel I'll get them back again, 26 if I'm not mistaken.

Ahhh man I saw this guy on clearance at JB before the kids had 3ds or a Wii U, so I couldn't present a decent argument to buying it… Now we have so many Amiibo and that's pretty much the grail lol. Just for novelty sake more than anything. Or the glow in the dark boo.

I wished they reprinted others. I collect these just because they look so nice lmao but some of the faces on the amiibos are :) more detailed than funkos which I have little of. The beady eyes are somethin.
