Kayo App on Fire TV Not Working anymore

Kayo app on Fire TV asking for an update now . Does anyone have v 1.3.19 I think latest that works with sideloading to Fire TV ? Older version worked pretty good until today .

    I use the Matt Huisman extension in Kodi on mine, works better than the app IMO.

      I use that too on my old, US import Fire Stick, as the Kayo app refuses to install.
      It's a last resort that works, but it's not a superior experience IMHO.

      yeah way better. Less laggy interface, and generally I just watch the live channels and with the IPTV Merge addon you get a TV guide interface like foxtel

          So say you have binge and kayo addons in kodi, it combines their live channels into one EPG

          The EPG will look something like this but with the sports channels from kayo and whatever channels binge has

    Glen - Try sideloading the Kayo APK - https://m.apkpure.com/kayo-sports/au.com.kayosports - You may need an APK installer to sideload on to the firestick, or something like file commander app that's on the firestick, I don't know the standard file app that you can install on a firestick but I know you can install an APK through an APK installer, basically download the APK from one of the hyperlinks attached then download the APK file to you desktop or a folder and then open the APK installer on your firestick and add the APK file and this should allow you to install, try different versions to see what one may work, maybe look at - https://www.apkmonk.com/app/au.com.kayosports/ for different versions.

      How did you install? I tried this version using Downloader app and doesn't work. Installs but when i open it just dropped straight out.
      Checked Fire TV up to date and restarted a few times.

        I use Apps2Fire app to install wireless from my phone directly onto Fire Tv . It works really good once you set it up . In settings of your Fire tv note IP address add it to Apps2Fire settings and save it . Should say connected and you can install any app from your phone directly.

      are you sure you're on V2 though? I was also forced to upgrade, got the above source and it just closes without launching.

      I've heard in the past that some apps need Google services which is a part of the play store but that can't be installed on FTVs.

    okay yep thanks to the peeps in this thread have setup Kodi and the kayo add-on. playing with IPTV merge and the EPG. so far so good, thanks!

    Guys V2 only works on Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Does not work on Fire TV Stick 4K.
    Maybe due to the fact that 4K MAX has Fire OS 7.x upgrades while 4K is stuck with 6.x

        I had Kayo 1.3.18 working just a few days back on Fire Stick 4K. Now it's forced to upgrade to 2.0.0 (latest 1.x version which is 1.3.19 is also obsolete). Not just Fire Stick, other devices with AndroidTV OS are on the same boat too. If you don't want to upgrade hardware, one solution is Kayo addons for KODI

    Hey guys,

    I can't access kayo on fire tv. Getting an error msg saying failed to fetch auth token, make sure your IP address is not geo blocked. Try accessing the content via other.means (official app/website) to confirm its a kodi add on issue.

    Thoughts? Would any of the add ons listed above solve the issue?

      Same here, I had last used it to watch 1st Test between Aus vs India. Also, both on Android tablet and iPhone Kayo app works only on firestick there is this issue.

    I too have the same issue.
    Strangely though, my Fire TV Stick Lite on the kitchen TV updated to version 2.0 of Kayo no problems, however my Fire TV Stick 4K would not update and just crashes straight away when launching.
    I used the Downloader to update the app.

    Can someone provide the apk which is working on Amazon fire stick 4k,I try to get it to work but without success the 2.0.2 is not working also.

    2.0.2 working on my Fire TV Stick no problem . Not 4K stick

    Just a FYI Kayo now officially supports the firestick. No more sideloading every 2 weeks!
