Great brand, perfect for couples that have little getaways. My personal justification is the fact it can be deflated and put away is good for storage and it means all you need is a body of water close by to use it, no need to plan it out or strap crap to the roof of your car. RRP does seem a little inflated if you pardon the pun.

Someone please buy all the stock so I can't buy one.

Single person Kayak also available $96.30 (rrp $299)

I’ve been considering buying one of these for ages and last weekend I was walking along the beach and saw a guy manually pumping one of these up. Gave me a bit of a laugh.

    • +7

      Definitely an ozbargainer

We need some sort of code salute to identify each other, low key though so we can continue ignoring each other afterwards.

        • +2

Possibly a variation of the OK symbol, just change it to OB

    • +2

Got one of these previously for the wife. Not bad. Needs to invest in a Ryobi portable inflator! Quick to inflate, 3 times as long to deflate and pack away….

    • +5

They're actually quick and easy to pump up by hand. But yes there is always some smartalec passing by with a dad joke, so I just turn 360 and paddle away

      • +18

So you do a full circle just to face them again?

        • +1

The 'thing' he's paddling ain't water, friend

        • +1

          I paddle away backwards

    • +1

It's good warm-up before actual rowing :) I enjoy it every time.

Expired and that’s 1 person kayak. The 2 person kayak previously posted was explorer (don’t know what difference is)

I submitted a report to admin and confirmed all good to make a new post, fits within post requorements. Thanks mate.

Yes wasn't this $50 something last week for a disposable raft ,
Do you light it on fire after first use or do you let it slowly rot in the garage before sending it to the dump .
For those that will actually use this more than once ,
      I Salute you , but most won't .

      • Feel free to post if you can find it, however like I said I checked with admin before posting and got the all clear.

        • -7

Ok bud , your post is live .
          Don't Panic

          Complete rubbish that it is

          • @beach bum: Are you going to post or not?

This is ozbargain if you hadn't forgot, a bargain is a bargain regardless of your own personal beliefs. I am sure there are plenty of other places on the internet where you can express your distaste for this particular product.

@doobey1231: No I prefer to critique from afar , and I'm too old to learn this computer skills stuff.
I'm just gonna post "smart ass" comments for my own amusement
              Cheers

P.S. I've been here for years helping people
              Perhaps you haven't noticed

and preferred the challenger K2 when it was $15 ,
now that was a throwaway boat .

      • If I'm to let it rot, why would I bother carting it home? I'd simply push mine out to sea when done with it.

        • -3

Yes maybe a Viking Funeral would be the go ,
We could shoot flaming arrows at you if you would just shut up and play dead ..

          • @beach bum: Don't you worry beach bum, I'd play dead for you any day ;)

            • -2

              @ninnypoop:

              Ok ,
beach bum as in beach comber , bum as in homeless ,
              like related to bargains

              as in humor

              Freakin Freaks

  • Cheers. Got the double.

    • +2

      2 person is $200

    • +1

That's the K1 (one seater). The K2 (two seater) is $199.99.

  • +1

too many sharks in Perth now to go inflatable IMO

    • +6

Sharks will be walking our streets soon

    • +3

Genuine question, do sharks attack kayaks? I bought one last week

      • I wouldnt say its not out of the question. I'll be using mine on a lake mainly.

      • +1

Google says: rarely. But most of the anecdotes seem to involve solid hulls not inflatables

      • +1

they'll have a go at anything creating a shadow on surface with splashes, just like surf board.

      • +5

What sort of Shark did you get?

      • Tried to find a story i read 20 years ago of it happening but come across this story instead. Its a bit more recent so more relevant i guess.
        https://www.news.com.au/national/queensland/news/kayaker-sen…

      • no they attack people, not kayaks

    • Indeed, I prefer my sharks attacks to be in a solid kayak.

  • Yeah this one seems bigger than the previous 2 seater. Bought. thanks OP

  • noob questions, do we have any rules on using this one? like wearing life jacket or something?and can we use this one without having any skills/knowledge ?

    • +1

Can depend on the state, but yes you have to wear a life-jacket while using this device in open water.

    • If you're going onto busy waterways common sense would dictate knowledge of the rules the water craft have to follow and appropriate PPE

  • +5

I have one of these, a lot of fun. I was surprised how well it went even in a bit of light surf. I just went out by myself. I found the trick was to sit in the front with my legsin the nose and it would make the nose rigid enough to get through the waves.

Only take a few minutes to pump up and packs down to nothing

    Defiantly worth buying

    • does it come with a pump? hand pump?

      • +4

Yes comes with a hand pump but it is really fast, only take 5 minutes to pump up, the hardest thing with this model is getting the water out when you finish, but not a big deal. Great for fishing

      • Yes it does as does the K1 that I have.

  • +2

It’s a great product, we bought it for $220 and don’t regret it.

  • I considered inflatable kayaks, but ended up buying some 2nd hand surf skis (the short kind used to catch waves) instead. They fit inside the car. Very fast and fun, and much lighter than a kayak. Cheap, too.

  • Thanks I grabbed one of the one person ones
Note also price has gone up now ($240) on the two person

  • +1

    Damn price went back up!

    • Back down again.

      • +1

Wow thanks for letting me know!

  • +1

Single kayak still at listed price, double has had the reduction reduced to now $197.90(which sounds like a more reasonable RRP)

  • How is this deal compared with this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/754266 ?

  • +2

    Currently back in stock

  • +1

Looks like its back in stock for $145.17 again, just ordered one, thanks OP :)
