Gourmia 6.7L Digital Air Fryer $74.99 Delivered @ Costco (Membership Required)

110

I have one of these and of all the different air fryers I have owned, has to be the easiest to clean. Instead of a basket, it has a removable non-stick metal tray at the bottom. So much easier to wash or put in the dishwasher. Also included is an additional metal rack so that you can have two layers.

  • How easy to clean the element

    • +5

If its like mine you just don't look at it, then you'll never know if its dirty!

      • I, too, sweep my problems away out of sight ;)

    • I've never had to clean an element, but I believe a lot of people just turn them upside down to make getting at the element easier.

  • From memory this was on special for about $65 in store on the weekend with $15 off normal price, but not sure when that ends.

    • +1

      generally $10 cheaper in store

      • I originally paid $79.99 for mine when they first appeared in the store, but I would expect them to have it lower while the online special is available.

  • I have one of these and of all the different air fryers I have owned, has to be the easiest to clean.

They don’t last long do they…

    • Technically, I haven't had one fail yet, but I usually replace them every couple of years, depending on how long the non stick coating in the basket lasts. As this is just a tray, it might be possible to replace just that in future.

  • We got this one a while ago and it's been really solid so far. Best part is that all the removable parts go straight into the dishwasher which is what sold us vs some of the cheaper models.

    • +1

Does the dishwasher not destroy the non stick coating?

      • Not sure how it'll go over time but I'm following the manufacturer's instructions which say to put it straight in the dishwasher. No issues in the last 3 or so months.

      • i use the paper liner thingy

    • I can echo that, we have had ours for over a year now, best piece of kitchenware ever bought, it is used almost daily for various things. Could the non stick coating be better? Yes, probably, but at such a good price and convenience of use we are very happy with ours.

    • Since this one doesn't have a basket and uses a crisper tray instead, do you find it still gets enough airflow to the underside of foods and fries evenly all over? Reading elsewhere it seems like people prefer other models with a basket instead so not sure which one is actually better.

      • The crisper tray has a gap between it and the bottom of the basket to allow circulation of the hot air. I definitely prefer this over a second basket.

        • Good to know then, since I've always found the basket in our current old philips one a bit of a bastard to clean properly.
