why boo? pls I'm a noob.
You're after full synthetic
It's just oil, and this type is excellent. If you're changing it per specified schedule, it will do an excellent job.
If my engine is aluminium how's this stuff supposed to magnetically stick to it?
marketing is about selling an appealing idea/concept to the general public. being accurate is not a requirement.
I can relate to the annoyance from marketing statements like this though. I have to keep reminding myself everyone has different levels of exposure to physical science / material science / chemistry.
Good question. Maybe it will stick to the magnetic bits? 😆

conrods, crank, piston rings, camshaft, rockers. All ferrous metal
Any bargain mineral? 😶
is this why it's cheap because it's semi-synthetic?
Wonder why people buy them unless it is mostly used by dealers/mechanics
Why wouldn't one buy it? It's Castrol, after all.
Meets the specs in the owners manual for my car. Been using it the last few oil changes with no issues, car has >300k km on it
'same'. I had a car I no longer drive but went from 160000km to 305000km using this oil. Changed every 5000km per handbook. Car still performed well when stopped driving it
.
Thanks mate got one, cheaper than the recent sales.. used discounted GC's for further bargain
Does this enter into the mcm yaris giveaway?
used to be $25 or less inflation dude even on loss leaders
Magnatec consistently has the worst UOA's of any of their blends.
You can find multiple dozens of examples on BITOG.
Castrol is fine, just not Magnatec. Wear metals and shearing are consistently high.
do i need this stuff if i do annual logbook service?
Ah yes SLUDGETEC. I feel sorry for the engines that run this oil.
Part synthetic boo
