  These are great when they work, but after a few years of going through various versions of these auto foaming dispensers, they have all stopped working at one point or another and we have reverted to manual foaming hand pumps.

  Has anyone used these reliably for an extended period of time?

  What type of soap do you need to fill it with? Standard liquid soap from the supermarket or something special?

    I haven't refilled my existing ones , but youtube videos suggest to fill 1/3rd of any standard liquid soap and rest with water.

  I have three of these in my house, and they're good, but they don't dispense the proper amount of soap after they haven't been used for a while (for example, a few hours).

  The second attempt after being 'woken up' seems to be fine though.
