You are correct on that, sir. That is why I consider it important to scan in my discs with MakeMKV. But even that is insufficient for my peace of mind, as mechanical hard drives are known to fail - I imagine one day losing my whole video library in one fell swoop. Therefore I have recently purchased 16TB of secondary backup storage for my video library. I now feel somewhat secure with discs, and 2 backup copies on 2 different drives.
Now I just wanted to nitpick on something you said - you said "free with sub". This is somewhat of an oxymoron as purchasing the subscription costs money, thus making it not so free, eh? But maybe that was the point, to confuse and bamboozle us with clever language, in which case well done.

As much as I love the original, the sequels are all varying degrees of meh, IMO.
I'd probably just go for the original in 4K for $15.98 (Amazon) rather than this set.
The first one is the ONLY decent movie.

First one is a masterpiece of sci-fi action, the others - just watch when they are on TV or streaming.
Prey was good but still not as rewatchable as the first.
If they skipped The Predator and included Prey this would be good.
I loved the first Predator (saw it at the cinema!) but I'm amazed at how charmless the newer ones have been. I agree Prey wasn't bad, I suppose, but even Prey uses gore and deus ex machina where the original used suspense. Ironically, same problem with the Alien films.
It's been $18 before but still a good price.
