Hi everyone. I just recently received the Telstra answer modem gen3. When I try to connect it, it works in backup mode and the light ant the front is solid blue, and I am able to browse the web, however the speeds are quite slow. Does anyone know how to make the light green, and get out of backup mode?

You need to factory reset the modem and the configure it for DODO. If you do not know how to do this then use google to find the modem manual and download it for instructions on how to reset and configure it for DODO. I have configured the modem for use with Exetel, so it can be used with non Telstra RSP's with the exception of VOIP as it is locked via the firmware to Telstra.
Without looking but pretty sure Dodo users PPPoE meaning you will need to enter Username and Password. Will be under either Broadband or Internet card in Gen 3. If it has VLAN tagging then you'll need to root the modem. Getting harder and harder to root the Gen 3s these days…
Is there any authentication you need to setup for the wan connection? We're you given a username/password?
Some NBN providers need the WAN port tagged with a vlan.
Have you consulted the support doco from Dodo?
Edit.
Appears somone has done this before
