"all the US super bowl commercials"?!

    Is that a selling point?

      yessiree

    • +12

      100% it's is
Better than channel 7 or Kayo server up

    • +4

      You bet ya!

    • +7

Absolutely. It miffs me off that local broadcasters don't run them. I get why they don't, but the Super Bowl ads are creative and high budget. They're entertaining.

      • +5

You can watch them all on youtube pretty much as soon as the match is over…for free.

        • +15

Or for just 99 cents I can have the entire experience in one go without needing to do anything except watch and enjoy

    • +2
      • Well, this one came pretty close as well!

    • +1

It's half of why people even watch the Super Ball.

    • +2

      Absolutely.

On channel 7 it's Married at Big Brother's Voice ads ad nauseum and on ESPN it's Shaver Shop and Hungry Jacks ads ad nauseum.

This is such a fantastic setup - 0.99c for proper coverage of the greatest annual sporting event on the planet.

The game will be played on Monday 13 Feb 10:30am AEDT (NSW, VIC, ACT, TAS).

I found this site useful for info for those of us who know nothing/very little about their game.

    • Thank you good sir

  • +1

Okay, dumb question, but if I buy this what must I then do in order to view it? Would be looking to watch it on a 5yo LG LCD TV.

    • +1

There is an NFL app that works on Apple TV and on Android TVs. Might not work on an LG though.
Well worth it though if you can cast to your TV

    • It's a fair question. From memory you can install the "NFL Game Pass International" app, or use the TV Internet Browser to stream from the website. Then just need to make an NFL account.

      • +2

Helpful, thanks. Seems like a bit too much hassle for this little duck.

        • Name checks out.

    • +4

Open the NFL streaming site on your laptop.
Plug laptop in to 5yo LG LCD TV with HDMI cable (you might need a USB C to HDMI cable depending on your laptop…)
      Done.

    • +1

The NFL app is in the LG content store. Use it like any other app you have on the TV.

      • I found the app in the Hisense store too

  • +2

    No 49ers. (ಥ‸ಥ)

  • +5

Going for the Eagles purely for our Aussie boy Mailata.

    • +1

      Poor Arryn Siposs :(

      • Yeah, he must be Sopiss off.

  • Done Thanks OP cheers

  • +9

Absolutely worth it if you're an NFL fan. ESPN's coverage on Foxtel/Kayo uses an announce crew that is geared towards a more casual Aussie audience, 7mate has the Fox (US) commentary with Greg Olsen but you have to sit through fifty ads for "Outback Gold Hunters: Repo" or some crap. Gamepass gives you full 'murca.

    • +3

      Crack open some PBRs!

      • +1

"I'm white trash and I'm in trouble."

    • +2

I do like how ESPN put on an USA Aussie team, Can't think of any other sports doing that…

But yes, This will be the 3rd year I've done this deal and it is a must imo if you are watching the game.

      • +1

Oh absolutely, I think it's great that they do it, but it's not my bag either. Especially the Jason Witten/Booger year, my god.

    • I remember when 7mate (or maybe it’s was SBS) used to have the “B Team” commentators, which was meant for an international audience. I did look it up and the “A Team” is indeed on the 7mate feed. This is great. So the only difference between the GamePass and 7mate feed appears to be the commercials, the pre-game show and access to GamePass for 30 days.

  • Thanks for the reminder to pull a sickie on the 13th haha.

  • A buck is pretty awesome

  • +4

And if you don't know which team to go for…

Jordan Mailata is from Bankstown Sydney and used to play for Rabbitohs' youth team. He plays as the offensive tackle for Philly Eagles (No. 68)

    Fly eagles fly!!!!

    • Thanks, but the other team is from where? At least I've visited Philly.

      • +1

The other team is Kansas City Chiefs.

  • +1

    Where's my MaHomeys at? 🤔

  • just out of interest, during the regular season can you do a "share" with game pass with friends etc like you can with Netflix/Disney etc?

    • That's a good question. If the answer is yes you could even share on the same days. I bags the 3.30am start games.

      • Not sure if you are really trying to save 50cents…

But no, you cannot share the stream with different IP addresses.
5 streams per IP address though.

Now we're paying to watch commercials so wr can pay more and more?

  • +3

Can you watch everything including the ads and half time show after the fact with this (ie if I’m at work and want to watch after?)

    • Keen to know this too! Does anyone know?

  • +2

Will the game be in 4k via this?

  • +1
  • Legend!

I normally VPN and stream as I can’t stand the dumbed down international feed.

99c well spent, app on the smart tv already.

    • Shame you had to VPN, this 99c deal has been going for the previous 2 years.

  • Excellent! But does anyone know if this is still an issue - no ability to hide scores?

    https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/pb8z0i/nfl_gamep…

Looks like it still is for the Android TV app!
    https://support.nflgamepass.com/hc/en-gb/articles/3600052861…

    Please note
If you're watching via Android TV it is not possible to hide the scores.

Would hate to turn if on later in the day and see the result!

I had a look an the NFL app isn't available on Google TV

  • I have Plex and was wondering if this app running through my PC/LG C1 tv would work? Or am I on the wrong track here?

  • My local pub is closed and I can’t watch the Super Bowl. And my friends went overseas. Hit me up if you’re keen for a meetup

  • Thanks OP.

  • I cant seem to proceed to the super bowl pass = (

  • Super Bowl day, let’s freaking go! :)

  • -1

im watching the live coverage now on an amazon firestick, and it looks like its less than 720p stream? Too many people streaming?

    • lol neg for asking a question about the streaming quality 😂😂

  • +2

How strange that the payment page has been down for 27 minutes and they still haven't fixed it 🤷‍♂️ It's a pretty critical piece of the process 😁😁

  • The stream is slightly delayed compared to free to air. About 15 seconds

    • Also delayed if watching on two screens, WFH so got one stream on my phone and the other on the xbox in the lounge room, and phone is about 10 seconds earlier than xbox

    • no issues here.

  • yep it's down for me. Took my money but saying i haven't subscribed.

  • It's working again for anyone that couldn't pay this morning.
