Airtasker Fee Questions

Hi all, had a job assigned to a tasker on Airtasker. However, the tasker has never shown up on an agreed day and didn't reply to messages.

If I were to cancel the task, will I be liable for the Airtasker fee?

Also, just in case he does up show up, and I'm not happy with the work (given already had a bad experience from not showing up unexplainedly), could I open a dispute with Airtasker? In that instance, what happens then? Thanks

    Just ask Airtasker to cancel but the other party will need to accept cancellation

    No fees/cost to you. Make sure you report to them for not arriving. It will prompt some questions as to why you're cancelling the job. Airtasker will force the approval after roughly 3 days.

    I recall Airtasker kept the fee in 'their system', so we could pay someone else to do the job.

      That is not true. My last Airtasker job was cancelled and I got everything back.
