Picked up 3M Micro USB 3.0 cable for my USB3.0 WD HDD, from Dick Smith Blacktown for $2.10. There were still about 15 left.

USB3 portable HDs.
Both my Seagate and WD USB 3.0 external hard disks (desktop ones, not portable ones) use it.
yeah my 2TB Seagate Expansion Drive uses this
I wanted a longer cable to leave plugged into my computer, so I don't have to reach round under the desk.
More likely due to the length. So far I have only seen external HDDs using it and 3M just seems like overkill.
Great deal…a 6' cable is $7 at Meritline…this is 10'. For reference: http://www.meritline.com/6-feet-micro-usb-cable---p-44543.as…
$3.73

1 Meter, not as good a deal but includes free postage from Hong Kong. I have one and it's pretty high quality.$9.98 online :(
anyone find any luck with your local stores?I think it is only at closing down stores. Blacktown store was almost everything 80-90% off when I went today. Only bits and pieces left. Lots of cables and phone, ebook cases.
everything in store was 10c today but obviously got ozbargained =D
Probably so cheap because not many devices use the new plug type. I have not seen a device physically that uses MicroUSB 3, or whatever is used on this cable.
