  Probably so cheap because not many devices use the new plug type. I have not seen a device physically that uses MicroUSB 3, or whatever is used on this cable.

    More likely due to the length. So far I have only seen external HDDs using it and 3M just seems like overkill.

  I think it is only at closing down stores. Blacktown store was almost everything 80-90% off when I went today. Only bits and pieces left. Lots of cables and phone, ebook cases.
