Images of The Steps to Activate Wi-Fi at Perth Airport

Odd request but I have a digitally illiterate non English speaking family member that I'd like to give some confidence to in travelling to Australia (so they can call me using Viber/messenger for help). If anyone goes to Perth airport I'd love some screenshots of the various screens that show to enable Wi-Fi. Eg activating Wi-Fi and then the browser registration page.

Thankyou in advance you awesome people ✌️

Resolved. Thanks for suggestions peeps. I'm going to arrange a wheelchair assistance or meet and greet in Perth and hope it happens. I realised that I can send them a terminal map as well with some pics. They've been there before but never on their own and previously Perth had seperate terminals too so it's all a little different. And traveling feels a little scarier for some older ppl (and others) after covid I think. Especially if never confident travellers in the first place.

Let me guess..Bogan came in and made some racist comment about staying st home if you cant talk good old aussie?

    • Yup something like that. Actually was ignorance about why someone that was digitally illiterate and non English speaking would be travelling. Someone with no imagination.

Ironically probably the same type of people that go to Bali, Vietnam, Thailand, etc and don’t bother to learn their language or customs…

      • My God.. the average Aussie never fails to stick foot in mouth when it comes to other cultures.. Its uncanny. I think those kind of posts should stand to show the imbicile poster up for just who they are…

Airport wifi is shaky at the best of times and there is a chance it would block apps like Viber. It might be more reliable to buy and activate a prepaid local sim under your name and send it to them - or even send them a complete phone set up, charged and ready to turn on and make calls in Australia.

    • Great idea, thanks. Not enough to post it where it needs to go tho. It's really just a peace of mind for them to know in advance how they can set it up and call us in case they're confused and can't get help from anyone.

I would strongly recommend that someone who is digitally illiterate does NOT connect to a public wifi in an area like an airport without supervision from a purely security point of view.

Honestly just get them a simcard with some data on it so they can just use their devices like normal.

    • Can't do, as per above. But valid concern re security.thanks.

This is asking for trouble tbh.

    • Some situations in life aren't perfect but you do what you can to reduce the margin for error. I'm going to arrange a wheelchair assistance or meet and greet in Perth and hope it happens. • International roaming?

    • No, they use a prepaid sim that doesn't have that option. Thankyou tho.
