[Pre Order] Bonus Samsung Galaxy Watch5 (up to $649 Value) w/ Galaxy S23 Series (from $1349 Outright or $37.47/Month) @ Telstra

160

Until 16 February you can pre-order a new Samsung Galaxy S23/S23+/S23 Ultra and score a bonus Galaxy Watch5. Applies to both Consumer and Small/Medium Business customers. You must first receive your phone prior to redeeming (you need to quote the IMEI) but bonus watch must be claimed by 16 March.

You could probably score a better deal from other retailers, this is best suited to anyone who's already locked into a Telstra account and isn't able to shift.

Pricing on base models is as follows:

S23 128Gb
$1349 Outright
$112.41/mth - 12 month contract
$56.20/mth - 24 month contract
$37.47/mth - 36 month contract

S23+ 256Gb
$1649 Outright
$137.41/mth - 12 month contract
$68.70/mth - 24 month contract
$45.80/mth - 36 month contract

S23 Ultra 256Gb
$1949 Outright
$162.41/mth - 12 month contract
$81.20/mth - 24 month contract
$54.31/mth - 36 month contract

Yes, I know I was being grumpy with Telstra a few days ago, but that's only because their Plus portal is dumb. I'm still mostly happy with their mobile service, and dealing with their hardware side at my workplace is excellent.

  • Seems decent deal. Watch could be worth $300 sold on marketplace?

    • +7

i thought so last year. turns out thousands of people had the same idea and it became next to worthless. just kept and used it instead

Just undercut everyone and sell it for $250. The $649 valuation is a joke.

        • +2

highest offer i got was $150. at that point its not even worth selling tbh.
dont mind it (this is the watch 4 btw) but ive gone back to my garmin for better battery life. the activity tracking was very accurate though

Does this include the double storage upgrade?

    • Looking at the pricing, looks like the double storage upgrade is not included.

Kinda OK only if it has free double storage upgrade IMO.

  • correct me if I am wrong, this watch can be bought for $350, right? Am I missing something here?

    • +1

Probably. The key to the wording is 'up to $649 value' which is going to be RRP, but street price will invariably be less than that.

  • Not worth it at all. You can get 512gb ultra + watch 5 for just under $2k somewhere else

For my needs, the deal from Samsung is actually best. 1949 for the 512gb paid monthly. 24 months of Samsung care, a $250 voucher to buy buds or put towards a watch. It works out to 5 bucks cheaper for month for the phone which seems best for me. If everyone gets the free watch from telstra, there will be tons of them for sale on market place so unless you actually want to wear the watch it will not sell for even close to 500.
