Hi all. I’m just about to start a new job and they give an allowance for WFH setup. Considering using part of it on a walking pad treadmill to go underneath my standing desk. Anyone have any recommendations for <$500? I see Google results for cheap Centra and Advwin ones - are they any good? Or if people think it’s not even worth getting one if it’s a budget one then that’d be good to know

Thanks - will look into it and glad yours is going strong
Check Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace. Lots of people selling or giving away their 2nd hand treadmill as those things take up lots of space, and many can't be motivated to exercise 3 months after their new year resolution.
Agreed. They regularly show up on Street Bounty too.
Thanks for the suggestion. I did think of that, but unfortunately I need to buy it brand-new and have an invoice in order to claim a reimbursement from my employer.
I got a ~ $200 one off ebay. The model is GEEMAX C1. The exact listing is gone but there are similar there. I wanted one with a narrow width as that is all that would fit under my desk.
Been using it for a year, still going strong so have had no issue with it being a budget one. Use it a lot in meetings, and for some work. Typing whilst using it is easier than I expected, using a mouse is harder than I expected, so depends on exactly what you are doing. It was a little noisy on the floor, getting some 'treadmill mats' for under the feet helped significantly.
