I snatched a Raymond weil for around $800 from close to $4000. And a Hugo Boss for $160 from $800.

        Selling out to quickly

        • +2

On the same boat, just got one around $400 from $2k. Happy!

          • @drl: Unfortunately all good deals seem to be gone now

  • +4

    You bastard!

Bought a Tissot Seastar chrono I didn't really want for $170.

    • +1

I think it would look good on you

        Only time will tell…

        • What does that even mean? lol.

Sounds like the opposite of "person tells time".
Oh I think I get it, some kind of deep meaning "time will tell you about people".

  • shakira negged

  • Can't see the prices in the post on the links. :/

    • Nvm. 30 percent on checkout.

      Thanks!

  • Also could you link the g-steel for 100? XD

  • I'm expecting a cancellation email as looks like the pricing error has been corrected unfortunately.

    • +1

2 are sold out. 2 are still available. I don't think these are pricing errors. DJs have these types of sales all the time

      • Righto. Fingers crossed

      • I was proven wrong. My GM5600-1 was sent today :)

        • I didn't even see that one. How much was it?

  • +1

    scored a ga100gbx-1a9dr for $97.30
not normally keen on the ga100's but this one was positive/gold display and had hour/hands lume markers

    • +1

That model also has recurring countdown timer mode.

If anything would be very helpful for people who need to take medication regularly every few hours etc. (But if it's daily you can just use the alarm)

      • +1

or who take very regular naps ;)

I fell asleep on a chair in the middle of texting my friend yesterday

Got this for $58. @blacksmithnpc what model is mine? I can't find it anywhere

  • +1

That G-steel for $100 is a great low price.
One thing I noticed is a lot of G-shock models have been "sold out" on G-shock AU for awhile now, and I keep finding more that are.

Maybe they aren't doing so well in Australian market so aren't restocking? Maybe we can possibly expect to see more G-shock "Clearance's" in the near future?

    • The G Steel's status is "Ready to dispatch", along with a Seiko and the 2 Tissots.

I missed out on this: https://www.casio.com/us/watches/casio/product.GMW-B5000RD-4…

For around $150! This morning was hectic

      • Whoa the GMW-B5000 is an all metal series Tough Solar Bluetooth square with JDM module (slightly slanted time digits, dot matrix day/date area).

$700+ locally if I am not mistaken. Around $150 would have been a steal.

Saw that red model in a youtube video as well, the colour looks better in person than it does in those images. I can also imagine a lot of people seeing that colour and thinking "No" though lol.

        • It was crazy this morning, there were so many watches I missed out on. It was pretty much quick skim, add to cart and buy now think later. I made 6 separate orders.

The first one was a couple Seikos, G Steel and a Timex Q.
Second was a couple more seikos.
Third more Seiko and Timex Peanuts.
          Forth was more Timexes
Fifth was pure luck because I went through all the extra 30% off sale items again, and saw a couple of Tissots. 30 second google showed me they were Powermatic 80s, and cost over $1k RRP
Last one was the womens Q

Saw that red model in a youtube video as well, the colour looks better in person than it does in those images.

          crying emoji x10000000000000

          • @rosebank: Hey at least you got your Timex Peanuts you were talking about last time lol.

Just realized something. $150 would be G-shock square on sale + Aliexpress square metal mod prices.
Except in that example you get the real deal steel case + band in red finish, Tough Solar and Bluetooth to boot.

          • @rosebank: Mate, you made the most of this deal, good on you, good haul, please no crying emojis!

          • @rosebank: Would you happen to have seen the clearance price on this one?
            https://www.davidjones.com/product/g-shock-g-shock-x-surf-li…

I know I missed out already, but just curious to know if you saw the price on it.

            • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: I think there's one left. Be quick

              • @rosebank: I can see it at 30% off $209, but I think the sale is over?
At $146.30 it would be $3 cheaper than G-shock's own sale https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/692725
But still a bit high for a resin square in my opinion, even if it is the G-Lide version and special Surf Live Saving edition.

I was thinking the price you saw was much lower during the sale, like in the $40 to $70 range after 30% off applied. (If the metal GMW-B5000 was around $150)

                • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: The sales are never really "over", they just add new models, delete stuff that's sold out, occasionally you get the extra 30% off. The one you linked to isn't even listed in sale>mens>accessories>watches which is where I mainly check for deals. I had to search for yours.

                  From another post:

DJs always have random sales like this, the prices are always very low, and all the good stuff is gone in a couple hours. If I (or someone else) didn't post it here, you'd miss it because it's so quick.

Someone asked how I get these deals, if I check everyday or have alerts or something, but it's just on my list of sites I check once or twice a week. Sometimes you get lucky, most of the time there's nothing to buy. I haven't observed any patterns etc. it seem completely random to me.

This time I got a sizable haul, with no cancellations and everything has been shipped. The vast majority of other times, I barely miss it (all shitty leftovers) or there's nothing I want.

                  • @rosebank: Hmmm ok no worries. I actually checked DJ's for G-shocks a few days before your post because I know these places at local shopping centre's sometimes have awesome deals, sometimes..
Some others I occasionally check for clearances are fashion stores like Glue, General Pants etc, but this is based on years ago when I walked into the store and they had a sale.
As you mentioned before Shiels seems to have G-shock sale once in awhile. I found a ozbargain deal for G-shocks on sale at Shiels https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/668273
Which can be stacked with cashback (regardless of discount) as you mentioned in one of your comments.

I just had the feeling the GLX got as low as $120~$140, with extra 30% off or something.
Google tells me the GLX5600-SLS Life Saving edition got as low as $110 at Urbanwearonline AU, another local fashion store. They don't seem to be restocking most G-shocks though.

                    • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Yeah Shiels and their sunsidiary Watch Depot have the occasional good deal. And they always include vouchers when the send you a watch, so If anyone wants $25 off $250 or $15 off $150, pm me because I have 4 or 5 I haven't used. And Cashrewards averages 10% at Shiels and always tracks even with vouchers.

Shiels also sends an email couple times a year with 3 different tiers of vouchers, the highest being $150 of $500. Couple that with the sales and cashback, and you can get some great deals.

Last time I talked to my mate at Scarce, he said G-Shocks aren't selling as well as they used to, and there's too much competition and too many models. It's like anyone can become an AD now, and he has been doing it for close to 30 years.

                      • @rosebank: Did not know Watch Depot was a subsidiary of Shiels. Good to know I have a bit of a different opinion of them now.
There are so many similar sounding generic Aussie store websites, WatchDepot, WatchKings, WatchDirect and I always felt safer buying from Amazon AU.

"anyone can become an AD now,"
Yeah I guess it's the AU distributor getting desperate to boost sales, thinking the more AD's out there the higher chance someone will consider and buy.

      • Which Tissots? This is what I ended up with:

Just saw this one on special but it ends soon =

    Casio G-Shock GW2310-1 Solar Atomic $136.55 delivered

    • +1

That's pretty cool, but I bought one yesterday that's too similar. This deserved it's own post; solar annd atomic ( not that it works here) for that price is great.

      • +1

It ends in 3 hours so up to you if you want to post it or not.

        • 3 hours is plenty, you should post it, you found it

    • +2

And it has a positive display, which @blacksmithnpc and @tdw will love
