I was just about to upgrade to Belong's 'Standard Plus' plan for $75 a month until I saw this deal for the same price.

The Fine Print

  • Applies to new and existing Belong customers who sign up to the Premium Plan by 1 May 2023
  • Discount only applies to the Premium plan and will be removed if you change to a different plan
  • Discount will apply each billing cycle for the first six months
  • Offer is not compatible with other recurring discounts
  • Offer may be removed if you move home during the offer period

    I was with Belong for couple of years on grandfather plan and they disconnected me without my knowledge or communicating. I contacted them (by lodging formal complains and they finally called me back) and they said I changed provider which is never the case (I found out later that next door neighbour installed new NBN on Optus, so it was done by mistake from them). Belong useless customer support said you can log on website and request a new connection on the newer plans and pay extra $20 p/m.
    I said get stuff and found another cheaper deal and faster connection.
    In conclusion, Belong is useless and worst customer service you can come across. No phone support or ph number to call, email support is pathetic.

      • Mate, couple of years ago the only way to communicate with them was through web support fand NO ONE could talk to them as I stated. When I lodged formal complain and finally someone called me from their Manila call centre, they have no clue what they are doing, they just follow some scripted scenarios, and was all bullshit talk.

          Belong's support is probably still crap, but you said 'no phone support or ph number to call, email support is (not was) pathetic', which is not completely correct.

      • Had to call them a few years ago for a technical issue, the line was so bad that I could barely make out what the person on the other side was saying. Terrible.
        Hope it’s not that bad these days.

    (Belong on the old Starter plan were fine IME, but they kiboshed that and that's when I went to Leaptel)

    • Slowing the speed, while simultaneously raising the price of that plan certainly kiboshed it for me!

    • Leaptel (and their deal) are waaay better than Belong.
