Herman Miller Aeron Size B or C for a 180cm 85kg Person

When tried Size C, it felt:

  1. Too big overall however was very comfortable but felt encouraged to slouch.
  2. Seat pan touched inner knees, sometimes felt slightly uncomfortable.
  3. Couldn't really feel the Lumber support due to its big deep seat size.

When tried Size B, it felt:

  1. Snug and tight and slightly less comfortable then C.
  2. Could feel the Lumber support really well.
  3. Looked like it forced me to sit in a correct posture without encouraging to slouch.

Please give you views if you around the same height on which Size you own.

    178cm and 75kg and have a size b.
At the end of the day you need something that is going to be the most comfortable for you and put you in the best seated position. From your description it sounds like size b ticked those boxes and you might just need to play with some of the dials and knobs to get it perfect

    • Thanks mate!

Yeah looks like I am gonna stick with the Size B. On my 2nd today, lower and mid back is feeling slightly painful. However, looks like my bad posture is being correct right now.

  • 183cm and 96kg

I've got size B and size C. They both work, but I prefer the size B. Don't find it snug at all.

The key to comfort is the adjustability, which takes a bit of time to get perfect.

    • Thanks mate!

      • Forgot to add, been using the same B for 15 years now. I spend a lot of time in the chair, my longest sessions were upwards of 10 hours, but that was a long time ago..

        • Thanks mate!
Just one question about C, is size C feel slightly big for your height? specially around your inner knees? ever felt uncomfortable if knees touching the seat pan?

          • @gspO2: I used the size C for about a year, from memory it was a bit annoying with my legs being a tiny bit short, as in the base where you sit was too large.

I would've easily overcome it, but having the B it was a no brainer to swap back to.

  • Size B Size/Fit Reference - New Aeron® Chair
A friend ended up with a secondhand Aeron Remastered but if purchasing new from a reseller would have chosen a Cosm

    • Tried the Cosm and felt it was too small for me. However, it was definitely the most comfortable chair I have ever tired in my life.

      • The three back options make the Cosm worth trying

        • yeah unfortunetly they all have same sized seat I belive. It is only the back rest which different in 3 availalbe sizes.

  • 183cm/100kg - B size

    • Hey @andrek,
how long have you been on the Size B?
      Finding any issues?
Ever felt you should have gone for Size C?

Also, are you using any headrest?

      • no headrest. been using it for three years. no issues, never felt I need a larger one.
my previous company had also A size - definitely too small.

        • Thanks mate for the input.
looks like I am gonna stick with B.
