Entry Level Budget Racing Wheel - for PC Switch RPi PS3/4 XBOX ONE/360 Android Super Console X $109 + Shipping @ Electro Arcade

50

Looking for a budget steering wheel that's compatible with a PC and a number of consoles?
The R270 7in1 wheel comes with a built-in shifter and brake/accelerator pedal box.
Supports x and d input along with 7 levels of sensitivity so you can adjust wheel response per game as needed.
It's no Logitech but at a 3rd of the price great for the kids and casual gaming.
Hook it up to your Raspberry Pi or Super Console X or even Nintendo Switch and have a blast playing the retro classics like Chase HQ, Daytona, Mario Kart, and so on.
The wheel will also connect to our bartop arcade machine.
There are always compatibility limitations with wheels/pedals and this unit is no different, so please note it won't work with all consoles and games.
*** If you are specifically looking for a sim wheel with force feedback and vibration then your entry level may be Logitech g27 or g29 wheels as the sky's the limit. ***

    Entry level landfill.

Edit. Maybe if you plan on using it for retro gaming it might be okay. Awful for modern racing games.

    • LOL. I was thinking the same thing.

    • Definitely only arcade, haven't used something this attrocious in almost 2 decades.

As someone else has said, "Don't do this to yourself".

But sure, do it to your 5 year old to play something like Mario Kart..? 😅

Rather use controller/arrow keys than shatty wheels

Just make sure to take your keyboard with you next time you go to the arcade to play Daytona USA ;-)

"The wheel is spring based, however like many Electro Arcade products, we've had the manufacturer tweak the spring strengths to deliver an experience closer to the more expensive gear-based steering wheels."

Yeah, nah. Force feedback is a must.

    • Which gaming wheel with force feedback do you recommend?
Thinking of getting a PC racing game with 3 monitors and a force feedback wheel.

      • How much do you want to spend? Entry level is a logitech G29/920 for around $350 for wheels, pedals and shifter. After that the sky is the limit. A common recommendation is to get the Logi gear, see if you will get use out of it, and if so, look at upgrading. You can sell the logi gear for a decent price online.

        • An even cheaper entry level would be a used Logitech driving force gt or g27. These were ps3/xbox wheels but should still work on most pc games. Should be able to find pretty cheap on marketplace.

    • Not for retro gaming.

  • Perfect for The Witcher 3 when on horses and on boats? 🤔

    • Lol!

    • Sounds more like a witch hunt anytime someone posts a cheap steering wheel on here

There does seem to be some kind of delay also between when you start to turn the wheel and when the car actually starts to turn in the game and that was very noticeable on my end, but it's something I did end up adjusting to pretty quickly.

Just start to turn a little bit more slowly before making it to the point where you should be turning in order to nail it without issues.

Experienced delay in some games and too responsive in others at first, then realised the sensitivity button can be used per game to adjust wheel responsiveness. For the price, it's a decent wheel.

        No it's not

There is nothing in this price point - let alone anything half decent. This is not a sim wheel nor does it try to be. As per the description it's an entry-level wheel and we sell and use them for retro gaming which doesn't use feedback or vibration. Having used it on PC for Asphalt 9 it works well with a lot of fun to be had. If your chasing a more expensive wheel then there is plenty out there and nothing stopping you from spending more if that's what you need.

        • Indeed quick search seems to find these generic wheel pedal sets at a cheaper price point if we exclude or group-buy shipping

Bulky shipping costs show these generic retro wheels as expensive as Logitech? lol

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004513910069.html aliexpress eBay etc. Seems unpopular?

          Interesting product naming

    • How true is the comment on that vid about the sensitivity settings?

Its actually not a delay and part of the sensitivity settings built in to the wheel. If you hold the "sen" button til the light starts flashing, press up on the d-pad til the light is white, press the "sen" button again and the wheel will start reacting immediately to you turning it.. of course, you will have to fine tune your deadzones in-game as well. I have my deadzones on horizon 5 set to 0 inner and 100 outer with a 50/50 linearity. Works like a dream.

Will that fix it and make the wheel useable?

      • There are 7 sensitivity settings for when needed built into the wheel.
Tried on PC with Asphalt 9. Plugged it in and worked nicely straight up with no delay or sensitivity adjustments needed.
This has been tested on a super console X with retro racing games. The sensitivity feature increased or decreased wheel input for cornering as needed per game with no issue.

Find a g29 on fb marketplace instead.

  • Turn your Series X into a Datto 120Y for $109 + shipping

Have you driven a Datto 120Y? With the right driver behind the wheel can be heaps of fun! You can always strap an r270 to the passenger side too ;-)
