    Totally agree with this, still free though, so there is that? Besides you could flip the parts used and get to keep the water cooling then buy the latest/greatest at a discount? I realise the waterblocks you'd likely need to flip to (GPU one anyway), so I'm over simplifying, but still yeah. So not looking the gift horse in the mouth, should be latest gen but, could be slightly older stock possibly.
