Kogan SmarterHome IP68 RGBW Smart LED Light Strip (2m or 5m) $19.99 + Delivery (Free with Kogan First) @ Kogan

60

Works with Google Home, Alexa, and through Bluetooth or with the remote.
Seems like a good deal for a waterproof smart connected lightstrip. Both the 2m and 5m ones are the same price.

Down from an unrealistic $79.90. But still a good discount I reckon.

Edit: please stay away from this product. The tape is useless and comes off easily, and the original and replacement I received both had failure on the warm white LED'S which stop working less than a metre into the strip

  • Does not include power suppler?

  • New to these, what am I looking for if I want to go around corners? Can they be cut and a right angle join attached?

    Thanks

    • You're going to need something like this.

BUT don't get these kogan lights. See my comment below. Make sure you get something that's a standard size that can fit these connectors.

  • I have 2 x 5m strip outdoor but under cover for 16 months now. On one strip a couple of LEDs can't do red colour anymore, keep changing to blue instead.

  • How r these compared with levono once 🤔

I got this recently as it was the best value I could find. Looks and sticks much better than the Kmart ones.

  • Don't bend them in any way as they're real sensitive and they cut out once bent or folded..

  • Kogan's description says "RGB, Warm White, Cold White". Tha's the exact same thing as RGBW?

    • +1

I believe so. RGBW is for when light strips have dedicated LED's for white, as opposed to those that use the RGB LED's to produce an impure white.

      • Yes, it has dedicated LED for Warm White and Cold White (2 separate White LEDS from the RGB LED).

  • Since these are IP68 - anyone know if these are safe for use inside a sauna?

    • They should be, but the controller may not be.

  • I got one of the 5m strips thinking I could cut it in half and connect it up. I discovered it's got 6 terminals and a width of 10mm. All the "standard" 6 pin connectors online are 12mm. The pins don't match up - I tried. My next plan is to get some flux and solder the tiny connections myself.
