Men's Casio G-Shock from $49.95 (+ $4.95 Postage) from COTD.

I have owned Baby G and they are very reliable watches. Would have bought some this time if there are anything for the ladies.

On a side note, there are also some classic models starting from $17.95. Good buy imo.

I have a feeling amazon has cheaper prices, on most of them.

Actually the prices are the same with Amazon except for the G100-1BV which is cheaper on AMZ, but shipping to Australia is $10 so CoTD works out a few dollars cheaper

  • http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/smallfish_info.php?products_… They also sell the Casio G-Shock Solar Atomic Watch. Please be aware that the description is actually quite misleading as the 'atomic' component is barely (or rarely) capable of receiving the signal all the way from Tokyo.

    • yes you can pickup the signal I have an atomic watch…
      http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1197507

      • Ah, no, not quite. There are many variables that affect whether you can receive the signal or not. Atmospheric conditions, where you live, what time of the day (or night, where you have a better chance) etc. etc.

I have a Casio Pathfinder which is capable of receiving the signal, but I've never successfully picked it up. And this is living on a mountain on the east coast.

        Great price, Skywatches in Singapore (Adrian) is usually pretty sharp with pricing, but not this time round, compared to COTD, he's double the price and out of stock;

        • I have an Edifice Solar haven't had any issues receiving a signal in Brisbane or when i visit Sydney…, neither do many of my mates who have Pathfinders, Aviator Solar, etc…

as i said yes you can receive the signal, as far as my experiences go…

My concern is that they are selling the atomic functionality as a key feature of the watch, when the functionality isn't supported in Australia. The watch owner will need to rely on a signal transmitted all the way from Japan, which will be weak or non-existant in most of Australia. There is no warning, nor disclaimer about this in the advertisement. This is almost like when Apple was selling the Ipad in Australia claiming it has 4G, Apple lost the court case even though they added in their advertisement that the 4G coverage is not available on Australian network and needed to change the wording to Cellular.

        • i think people are talking about 2 different features here.

atomic is the time update function (japan based), whilst the pathfinder uses gps.

i havent seen a local watch use the atomic function successfully.

        • My Pathfinder does not utilise GPS for time updating.

Slightly different color but here it is on eBay for ~$2 cheaper. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Casio-DW9052-1BCG-G-Shock-Multi-F…

Its not cheaper when you take into account shipping….it works out to be about the same.

      • +2

Actually it's still less than COTD at $54.02 including shipping.

        • Oh damn. Go wild with your 88 cents savings…(no Russell Peters "you take a dolla" jokes please)…

My point is that it's not a bargain. It's just normal price.

        • This is OzBargain! For 88 cents I can feed my family for 6 weeks.

        • Kids, we're moving up from Dumpster Dive Dinner again!!

  • actually a good price for this one.

Might be practical but it's definitely not fashionable.
