Lian Li Lancool III RGB White/Black ATX Mid Tower $204.11 Delivered @ PB Tech

160

The sequel to the favourite Lancool II Mesh. Cheapest available and maybe an ATL? Mine was shipped from NZ if that matters at all.

The Lian Li Lancool III is a premium mid-tower chassis that offers better thermal performance than the Lancool II by including 4 pre-installed 140mm PWM fans, and a fine mesh panel designed to ensure ample airflow is delivered to the high-end components while the system runs at peak performance.

Ordered this exact case from PBTECH 3 months ago for same price. Excellent case, have fans everywhere. I was able to fit the Corsair H170i Elite 420mm to the top of the case. I couldn't fit 420mm to the front. I recommend for those that purchase this case to purchase a 360mm AIO instead for ease of installation and flexibility.

    • Looking forward to receiving it. Looks really good! Did you put your front ports on the top or bottom?

      • Left it on top, easiest access point as it sits under my table. I suppose bottom be great if your tower is sitting on your table. It is very heavy though

        • Yep I'm toying with the idea of it on the desk but will see when it turns up. Have heard it's hefty and haven't bothered measuring the space yet

    • How long did deliv take?

It actually has slightly worse thermals and noise than the Lancool II Mesh Performance which is one of the directly comparable models in the lancool II lineup. The big plus is ease of use and out of the box experience as opposed to the lancool ii mesh series which have a handhold gap that allows full airflow making your pc double as a vacuum and a few very poor tolerances that will lead you to some Macguyver fixes.

First ever build so that sounds like I made a good decision

      • It's a great case. I would have bought it over my lcii mesh p had it not been double the price at the time I was building. The removable top is a welcome evolution to say the least as those top headers on the mobo are a pain for large hands.
The only possible problem I forsee you potentially having is if its features don't see widespread adoption and you choose to slum it with a lesser case at your next build.

    • Yep and it's also quite a bit larger than Lancool II (so heavier too).

    • Rated best mechanical case from GamersNexus

  • For those that don’t need big rad support, LianLi 216 might be a better option.

  • A very nice looking case, bought the white RGB, thanks :)

  • Cheapest recently has been via MyDeal stacked with 18% SB cashback + 2k EDR points - would bring it down to ~$170 delivered. Decided to pass (largely because of thermals and size/weight), will hold on to my Lancool II for a while still, might just wait for Lancool 4 and Lancool 217X and decide then. Lancool 216X looks nice but still too expensive here in Aus (also only has 2 3.5" drive slots compared to 3 in Lancool II and 4 in Lancool III).
