  • Been pretty happy with my S9, not many have an auto-dump station for this price. The mop function isn't the best and I don't use it, but vacuuming is decent.

    • Hows your map and battery? On my second battery in under 2 years and map needs redoing every 3-4 months.
Unfortunately my kid poured water over it and now it would not work - thinks that battery is at 2% =( most likely a new motherboard or something

      • Mine is about 13mths old. Have been using it to vacuum upstairs and downstairs on different days.
Battery level drops quick but it's at 50% after finished cleaning. I set my suction to quiet and no mopping used.
I don't have any issues with my mapping. It knows when I activate either upstairs or downstairs maps.

      • Map has disappeared once but was able to pull it up from the previous maps section so didn't have to re-do it. Still on first battery, no issues.

This viomi s9 or dreame L10pro?

    Edit.
Read previous post, this robot seems to last 1 year only. And was $490ish

I got the non-UV version for about that price.

It was good while it lasted, but mine died right on 12 months. Seems to consistently be the battery that fails.

Replaced with a Z10 Pro, which is considerably better.

Replacement batteries are cheap from AliExpress!
I'm still quite happy 1yr on with my Viomi S9 UV

        • I know, but I contacted the retailer while it was still (just) within 12 months and they offered to help. Then as soon as it was outside of 12 months they ignored me. So out of spite & principle I pushed until I got a refund.

Would've been happy with the $40 for the cost of a battery if they didn't stuff me around!

@wintermadness: Oh well I guess you cannot rely on most retailers.
From what I read, most robot vacuums have battery dead issues after 12mths not just Viomi.

            • @revivor: Not really, I have a really old Roborock s5 and a ecovacs 920 and none have battery issues.

      • How much was the z10?

  • I got s9 UV version for more than a year. Below are my experience:
    - decent vaccum and covers area in no time.
    - auto cleanup station which is a handy option.
    - mopping is average not that great.
    - map gets reset very often. this is irritating.
    - when the vaccum is in progress and if the robovaccum gets struck for any reason, then the map build process gets reset(so you will never get the map back) and it starts all over again.
    - battery is not good enough for single floor decent house.
    - Very often the main wheel gets struck for no reason and no fix for it at this point. With this the map is gone(point 2).

with these overhead, in practical sense they can not replace manual cleaning. You can never trust them to complete the task until they complete.

Overall average, and for the price it is good, but it may not last for long.
