Bamboo Hip Dysplasia Baby Romper - $26.22 Each (25% off) + $10 Delivery ($0 with $99 Order) @ Bambae

2420

Hi everyone, my wife recently launched a online baby clothing store, focusing on comfortable, breathable, hypoallergenic and soft bamboo clothing with the focus being on helping babies who are dealing with eczema and/or hip dysplasia.

Main driver of this was the inspiration of our 1.5 year old daughter who suffers from both conditions from birth and the frustration of not being able to find summer friendly clothing for her, as well as the general price of scratch sleeves out in the market. She spent a year working and designing her products partnered with a reputable manufacturer who works with some of the larger brands to design everything in the store, all of which our daughter happily wears today.

Items are all shipped locally from Australia and can guarantee that it is not just another dropshipping store.

We are currently having an opening sale and wanting to share with the Ozbargain community, thank you for reading.

TLDR: Wife designed and started a bamboo clothing store focusing on helping eczema and hip dysplasia babies with inspiration from our 1.5 year old daughter who wears these clothes everyday, thanks for your consideration

Edit: Thank you everyone sincerely for your support and kind words, really do appreciate it!
For those that ordered we will process and ship your orders ASAP, thanks a lot :)

Absolutely amazing, as a paeds orthopaedic doctor I deal with DDH daily! I will certainly be pointing parents in your direction

You're too kind, thank you so much! Definitely hats off to you as well, our paeds orthopaedic doctor has been a lifesaver for us

please let parents know M&S, Next and the iconic have many options for "lower cost" HD specific baby clothing. As a paeds orthopaedic doctor you will be aware how quickly babies grow and the added cost of medical visits.

  • Great work.

Side note re eczema. Baby had it at 3 months. Bad. Stopped the cr@p soaps (goatsmilk, non petroleum, etc) and bathe the little one using baby aqueous cream alone. Recommended by the paed. Amazing. Stopped the eczema in its tracks. Might help someone out there.

Great tips, thanks for sharing - nothing worst than seeing your babies itch

    • Thanks for sharing. Would love to try it out for my little one. Any particular product do you recommend please.

Hi there thanks for reaching out, the scratch mitten and scratch suit are particularly effective in helping out with eczema problems but if your little one does not have eczema and suffers from hip dysplasia then i would recommend the rhino romper.

Any more questions please feel free to reach out

    • @joyfulpatrick asked so I trawled through photos and it was fortunately snapped the cream tub in one of them 🤣. It's Epizone A. Not available in Aus I'm afraid but the ingredients list should help you find a similar in a locally sold brand. Epizone A.

Although aqueous creams are completely non medicated, suffice it to say - this should not be taken as medical advice. You should still consult your paed 🙂.

The products you linked appear to be cotton.

OP's deal is made from Bamboo Viscose (95% bamboo viscose, 5% spandex). Based on OP's contex, this probably helps with eczema.

Eczema and HD are different conditions ,

Cotton tends to be the most commonly recommended textile for people with eczema. Cotton is soft, cool, great
at absorbing sweat, easily washable and allows the skin to ‘breathe’. ‘Cotton rich’ blends can contain a significant
proportion of polyester, so be sure to read labels carefully to see exactly what proportion of cotton is included
before you buy. Plenty of organic cotton clothing available at low cost from e.g. Target or Kmart e.g.https://www.kmart.com.au/category/kids-and-baby/organic-cotton-baby-and-nursery/
Bamboo, another soft, breathable material, is more absorbent than cotton, highly effective at regulating temperature (keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter) and has antibacterial properties. Bamboo can be confusing – the bamboo in clothing is
generally described as ‘bamboo viscose’ or ‘viscose derived from bamboo’. It tends to be teamed with cotton and a proportion of elastane/spandex/lycra.
The processing of bamboo viscose is chemical intensive and not very environmentally-friendly, but the material has the
properties that make bamboo an attractive option to people with eczema.
An equally eczema-friendly option that is more environmentally-friendly is Tencel™ Lyocell. This is a cellulose fibre derived from bamboo or wood pulp in a closed-loop manufacturing system that uses less toxic chemicals and recycles almost 100% of solvent in the process.

M&S, Next and the iconic have "bargain" HD baby clothing!

Score of -26 for pointing out some other bargains related to OP, that's one of the most impressive brigades i've seen here against a fairly neutral and informative post.

People are angry that large retails have cheaper products than a small business?

Great stuff OP. All the dermotologists recommend different products for eczema, and it’s a true pain finding something that works. I found Dermeeze ointment to be very effective - it stays on the skin longer than most other moisturisers & is very thick. Reduced the need for steroids a lot when used regularly as a preventer. Hope it might help someone here.

    • We use Dermeeze too, agree its really good in comparison to others, normally smear a tiny amount around mouth area to help provide a barrier when she eats the more acidic foods top, helps a lot :)

    • Dermeeze ointment is the best!

  • Great to see solving two important problems. Your wife might be interested in https://remarkable.org/launcher/ or similar

    • Thanks will check out!

  • Good on you both.. My daughter had pretty severe hip dysplasia we usually used the jump suits that were button ups around the legs and left the buttons open…

    • Thanks, appreciate your kind words and good hack to share as well

      • Your welcome… Didn't mean as a hack it was just what we had to do, wasn't much in the way of clothing for kids with HD, so good for you guys and all the best 🙂
